see theres a party going on every saturday night there is but i can only get there at like 11 or 12 and by then the party is almost over and done

i can't go because my mum asks to many questions such as who will be there (i have no idea most of the time) where is it? (if its not at a friends house that she knows she wont let me go without checking it out) will there be perants there? ( mostly no but when there is she wants to go meet them) and will there be alcohol ( if yes there is no way i'm allowed within 10 km of the party)

so you see my dilemma what do i do?

if i say to my mum what would you like better me sneaking out or you knowing where i am she'll go nuts

if i tell her i drink she'll go nuts

if i even say i want to go to a party she will say when i was your age we went over to eachothers house in the day and we had good clean fun or something along those lines (she's a massive nerd)

so what can i do? i'd like a solution sometime before i'm 18.

Either grow some balls and sneak out, stand up to your mother and tell her you are old enough to control your own life (even though you obviously aren't) or stay at home with your mother. Do you expect as to have some kind of magical device that will solve your problems for you?

Just walk out the fucking door and go. Stand your ground when the aftermath comes, then do it all over again next week and so on. Your mother will probably eventually get sick of it and give in.

Just a question. Have you ever risked anything for your own wishes? Chances are she would only say something like that to keep you under her direct fucking control.

Your mother has to learn to give you some space, and the only way she will ever do that is if you make the first move. If you are really worried about not going on exchange, let it wait, but either way what I'm saying is the ball is in your court. Fire it back at her with the risk of hitting it out, or give her more points.
