Smash Kingdom Melee was sooooo bad. It honestly should've been blammed. Seriously.
The voice acting is nauseating, there's no comedic sense whatsoever, and, oh yeah, all the art is stolen, and the creator didn't do anything but slap a few sprites together (rather poorly, actually).
Quit voting five on movies simply because they have your favorite characters in them. Honestly.
Also, I can't believe Orange Rhymes only got tenth place. That short was great. Sure, it wasn't feature-worthy (though it was certainly a hundred times better than Smash Kingdom), but it definitely deserved a daily award.
What is with all these quality original submissions lately getting ignored in favor of crap?
Dan also did a pretty good job with Alex Seryoua. It's such a relief to see him get back to original work, and you can tell he's having a great time making something to call his own.
I see him gaining a lot more prestige in the web animation world with that series in the future; certainly more than he could've by combining popular video game and cartoon characters made by someone else for a quick fanboy orgy.
Heh, I liked how the ships seemed a cross between Halo and Oblivion style backgrounds.
The camera movement (while at times irritating), for the most part, gave it a pretty neat effect.
And of course, the Pixar parody opening was classic.
