If they were such a waste of time, than why are you wasting your time? If you really wanted to be smart you would stfu and accept the fact above.

If you were so smart you would know topics like this get no where, that is what I'm pointing out.

"What I have done is to show that it is possible for the way the universe began to be determined by the laws of science. In that case, it would not be necessary to appeal to God to decide how the universe began. This doesn't prove that there is no God, only that God is not necessary. [Stephen W. And although he mentions that God is not neccesary from a scientific standpoint, he does go on in several other essays to make mention and therefore acknowledge his presence.
"So Einstein was wrong when he said "God does not play dice". Consideration of black holes suggests, not only that God does play dice, but that He sometimes confuses us by throwing them where they can't be seen."
"If we do discover a complete theory, it should in time be understandable in broad principle by everyone, not just a few scientists. Then we shall all, philosophers, scientists, and just ordinary people, be able to take part in the discussion of the question of why it is that we and the universe exist. If we find the answer to that, it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason - for then we would know the mind of God."

okay, you're keeping a thread alive by posting in it and calling the guy stupid!!! Just don't post, let it die but you must have to feed his whoring obsession by posting making you even more stupid than the starter.

This is an atheist stance. Outright denial of God is not requisite for atheism. Agnostics are a (LARGE) subset of atheists, the word was just thought up because people got atheism confused with strong naturalism.

Whoa, because he mentions God he acknowledges his presence? When used amongst people who have a scientific view of the universe (i.e. neither confirm nor deny the existence of God), "God" is generally used as a concept rather than an entity, the embody someone or something that knows all the stuff we don't/can't know.
For example, my statistics prof, an atheist, frequently referred to values such as the true variance for a set being "known only to God."

I think the word you're looking for is Deist.
Proof of deists existing: PoxPower label'd me one, lolz.
You can believe in a God and not be part of a religion.
You can also be part of a religion and not believe in a God.

And yet he's also quoted as saying that evolution has a direction.

At a physicist's conference Hawking was attending after his book A Brief History of Time was published, a reporter approached him to ask if he did in fact believe in God, given the "mind of God" reference near the end of the book. Hawking responded quickly (suggesting his answer was pre-prepared) "I do not believe in a personal God."
"All that my work has shown is that you don't have to say that the way the universe began was the personal whim of God."

Not really, all I've found out from your post is that, surprise, the belief systems of humans differs from one to the other.
Hell, I can throw Einstein quotes at you that assert his belief in Divine creation. My question to you is why do science and religion have to be mutually exclusive? If you really want to base your entire understanding of the universe based on five human senses that even mere insects have the capability to surpass, be my guest.
I myself tend to believe that science without belief in a higher power is mankind's way of patting himself on the back, and belief in a higher power without science is mankind's way of putting a gun to his head and saying God won't allow anything bad to happen.
I must lollerskate on this matter.

Sigh, it's funny how so few people actually know that these terms means.
You can be an atheist AND agnostic. It's like how you can be an vegetarian and car driver. They simply don't overlap.
Atheism is when you don't belive in God(s).
Theism is when you belive in God(s).
Agnostic is when you think God is unknowable.
Gnostic is when you think God is knowable.
The most common stance for atheist is to be an atheist agnostic. The most common stance for Christians is to be an Theist Gnostic. Ta-da!

No. Becausw matter how hard you try, I will not succumb to the belief that all atheists are as arrogant and stupid as you are.
