Also Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin are two of the greatest rock bands of all time, inspiring most musicians today. Don't let the idiots running around throwing "Stairway to Heaven" and "Another Brick in the Wall" everywhere get to you.

I'm fucking shocked no-one mentioned Radiohead or Muse yet. Granted, they are amazing bands, but C'MON! They have gotten over-rated.

Also, any and all mainstream music is over-rated.... and Rage Against the Machine.

AWWW HELLZ NAAAAW! Dragonforce is pwn. Sure Herman is the only good performer in the band. So what if ZP is bad at singing on stage, so what if Sam is a drunk!? They are a great band.

To be honest I think Radiohead is a bit overrated.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Radiohead is bad, I just think they get a ton of recognition, and most of their music isn't really anything spectacular. They have had their high points (Kid A, and few others) but their new album sounds like recycled tunes.

And, Killswitch Engage overrated? I think not. They are all really talented musicians, and their first two albums are barely known by most fans and are masterpieces in my opinion.

None of the bands posted in the beginning are overrated...in fact, I rarely hear Godsmack played at all anymore.

An overrated band isn't a band that's talked about a lot because they're good, but some shitty band that had one hit and is now everywhere. Example being Soulja Boy, although Crank Dat sucked in my opinion.

Meh, most assholes just say a band is overrated if they don't like them, I personally don't see how Green Day and similar bands are overrated, as hardly anyone I know listens to them. More and more songs are becoming overrated. I know kids who can recite the lyrics 100% from a certain song, but don't even know the artists name or the album the song is on.

Haha, you're pretty funny. The only other kid at my school who listens to Muse is an exchange student from Europe. Radiohead is a band most people have heard of, but hardly anyone actually knows any of their songs. And besides to be overrated, they have to be getting more credit than they deserve, and both those bands deserve any credit they get.
