Don't Escape
I'm a werewolf and it's a full moon. I have to find a way to prevent myself from escaping.

Did you play Ragnarok Online? Do you like that game?
3.56 / 5.00 12,431 Viewsafter having sonic colours for a while now, I have a few minor complaints as to how things are set up, primarily, the way in which many of the controls are context-sensitive
the most noticeable is the way they have the jump dash, homing attack, double jump, and jump boost set up
A+A is either double jump or homing attack depending on whether or not you're locked on to anything
A+B is jump dash if you don't have any boost, or jump boost if you do.
personally, I would prefer if jump dash and homing attack were set to the same button, like how they used to be... cause I keep forgetting, but I guess that isn't too bad...
second is boosting versus sliding, both are assigned to the B button, and the game decides when you're allowed to do each, leaving no choice in the matter to the player
third is left and right movement in certain high-speed areas (such as the entire last stage)
remember in Sonic Unleashed, how you could quickly dash left or right using the L and R triggers? well in this game it's done with the control stick, and the game decides what areas you can do this and what areas you can move normally, once again, no choice in the matter, this is probably the most annoying for me.
...
oh, and BTW you can only use light dash with the "float" wisp and can only use spin dash with the "spikes" wisp
...
still, the fact that there's 37 normal acts + 1 cinematic act + 7 boss acts + 21 "simulator"/multiplayer acts makes for a game with A LOT of sweet gameplay. seriously, if you dont have it, GET IT
...
not sure about the DS version, but I heard that they added a Super final boss and took out super sonic in the normal stages, ah well.

The commercials are everywhere right now.
I haven't seen a single one.

probably depends on where you live and what channels you watch.
I've only seen poster ads for it myself.

Awesome! I found that comic a few years ago. :3
I just noticed that in each sonic game i play it feels like a scavenger hunt.

not as much as Rareware games are, but I see what you mean. so much stuff scattered around for you to find...
In the new Iphone Games video from Zero Punctuation, there is a brief review of Sonic Colors. From what I gathered, he liked the gameplay, but the cutscenes completely ruined the game for him.
Now, I know Yahtzee isn't exactly meant to be taken seriously, but even that comment made him sound like a tool. I can *somewhat* understand liking the night stages in Unleashed because he was more used to that kind of gameplay, but now he's complaining about skippable cutscenes? And if they aren't skippable, they're fucking cutscenes. It's like saying Resident Evil 4 is ruined because Ashley talks.

Because she should shut her mouth and know her place!

As most of you are probably aware by now, Tom's got a bug up his rear about things that are obviously covered by Fair Use laws. This means anyone wanting to make Sonic-related sprite flashes have a problem. Knux, Mizox, hope you're reading this....

I haven't even seen any sprite movies in a long time. Same thing happened to Legos I guess...

Knux is still working on Chaos Sonic, so when I saw this, I got a bit worried. I seriously think Tom's overdoing it, and hopefully he'll reconsider, but right now it ain't looking good. :(

It really isn't Tom's decision. It's either not have flashes with unoriginal content get featured, or get sued. Even if Tom took a risk and argued that the authors don't make money themselves, the courts only care that the site itself makes money and hosts those flashes. It's sad and unfair, but Tom simply doesn't want to deal with it because there's a chance he'd have to shut down the website and lose a huge sum of money. I wouldn't either.

Hmmm..... *grumbles*I hadn't thought how it'd be looked at legally with NG ITSELF. I still don't agree with it, but I understand it, I guess.
Sometimes, the legal system is a real bitch.

well hey, I guess if people were more creative with coming up with their own material, this wouldn't be a problem.
and I'm all for something which bolsters creativity.
Sonic And The secret Rings was somewhat dissapointing
I think it's fair to say that people realized that either sonic was retarded, or sprite animations are retarded.
Like that sonic cosmic chase movie that took 7+ years to make? Subpar music video.

On topic, anyone played sonic colors, it doesn't look that bad. Kinda neat looking engine and controls. Oh before i forget, what's up Twone?
Haven't really played Colors before, mainly because it cost the whole Mother Lode (Sorry MM64 refrence and I know this is Sonic not MM) From what I heard it has similar controls to Sonic Unleashed Day stages while you don't have the alien guys. Anyways is the story line any good? Because if it is then that'll be awesome!
Rise from your grave, and buy some Twinkies. That's an order you idiot!

Not much man. Just home for the holidays. Relaxing for a few more days before I start practicing and exercising again.
And I read some reviews for Sonic Colors, saying it is one of the best Sonic games since Adventure (I can't judge, I haven't played either). It definitely looks good though, so I'll have to check it out!
So, after watching some videos today, I realized that I'm still totally in love with Vector being in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. The fact that he gets to compete with some of the most iconic characters in video games (Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Wario, etc.) is still hilarious. He was in like, what, two games before? Knuckles Chaotix and Sonic Heroes? Incredible.
Plus, he swims like a real crocidile during his swimming events, so that's always cool.
