~What is Doujin?~
Doujin is homebrew, ameteur manga made by otaku, or Anime/Manga fans, that is usually based on existing manga/anime. It is esentially the art
form of a fanfic.
~The Crew~
The preferred crew is not that big, because I can't manage a very large group. I'll be the Moderator of the group, and you must PM me to join
the group.
I suppose, however, posting this in the C&C section I have to let everyone that wants in, in. Or at least give them a fair rejection if need be.
PREFERRED GROUP: At least...
1 Writer, for now, we'll see how it goes, for now that is me.
5 Artists: Show me a sample of your work. If you can't get it into a PM, email me at Sacredfire059@yahoo.com. You will only be doing the
artwork and speech bubbles, no text. That's work for the...
4 Texters: They will add text, captions and notes (E.G. explaining a japanese word, like explaining that a Doujin is a fan-manga) to each panel as
needed.
5 Editors: They make sure what's appropriate for the non-erotic manga and also fix any contradictions someone's made about the storyline.
Infinite Beta Crew: They are essentially the review crew, telling us what we should change and what's good, and what's bad.
~Requirements~
Unfortunately there are a few requirements of each position.
Artists: Must send an example of their past work, and know about and be able to draw two of the following:
Anime Sweatdrop
Super Deformed
Anime expressions (Flaming eyes, anger vein pulse, T_T expression, etc.)
Also must have either GIMP, Photoshop or Flash (Preferably Photoshop or Flash) and be able to stomach the thought of drawing sex scenes.
Remember, it may or not be erotic. If you're still good and we have at least 2 erotic artists, then you don't have to have that skill. Don't worry, it
is a little awkward. I understand completely!
Texters: You guys are lucky, you just have to send me a picture of some anime-ish text, and some symbols such as hearts and music notes
that might be added for effect.
Editors: I kinda give you a lil' quiz, asking you to underline things that should be changed. It'll be the same for everyone, so if I catch answers
going around i'll sack anyone who I catch. It's scored just like a quiz, but you need an 80% or more to pass.
Beta Crew: Must give me links to 5 'good' reviews they've given: 'good' refers to it isn't just like 'olulz that rox', but it explains what's good, what
needs improvement, etc.
~Process~
*Before we start, we decide 2 things: Erotic or non, and Colored or Inked.*
1: I write a page of the doujin, seperated by panel and written in script format.
2: I send the file to the Editors, and they do their job: Determine storyline screwups, determine what's appropriate, etc...
3: After it gets the OK, the editors give the document to the artists. By this time i'm repeating step one.
4: After the artists are finished, it gets sent to the Texters along with the text file.
5: When the texters are done, it's sent to the Beta crew for final critique.
6: After the Beta Crew's finished, it gets sent back to me, where I post the script and page on deviantArt. IF anyone knows any other place to
display our work, go for it.
7: Repear steps 1-6 until the doujin is finished!
~Side Notes~
Despite me saying the word 'inked', it's expected to be all done on the computer.
I won't be providing panel separators. You're a big kid, do it yourself. A note about those: I want them to be thick. Not lines, BARS. Big, TUFF,
MANLEH BARZ!!!
