I have pink eye

It's a highly contagious disease of the eye...
It frequently happens when people rub their eyes for any reason. Women tend to get it more often because they wear eye makeup. (Although, who knows with goths and emos.) I had it when I was in the 7th grade and it was bad.

Only thing you can do is treat it like a cold. Rest and keep clean.
Then you can use hot compresses of saline water to remove all the gook that comes off. (Toss that in the trash immediately afterwords...)

Yeah, I wear contacts, so I'm constantly rubbing and touching my eyes when the contacts either come out, or when I'm just moving them around when stuff is blurry. My mom says I'm not even allowed to touch anything if I touch my eyes, because it'll go to my hands, then whatever I touch. I had to wash my hands before I could even touch the keyboard that's how contagious this thing is. Oh, and my mom is a nurse, so she knows this kinda stuff.

You've never had pink eye before? Lucky. I used to get it somewhat frequently.

The best thing to do is get a large bowl and a washcloth. Get a washcloth and soak it in hot water. Squeeze the excess water out of the cloth (but not too much- just so it water doesn't get everywhere), and place over your eye and leave it there until it cools down, then re-soak and repeat a few times. Do this a few times a day.

Also, make sure you don't have gunk on your eye before you do this. Clean your eye area first. Try to avoid putting the same part of the washcloth on the eye, also.

Yea I hate pink eye
Ive had it 3 times in my life but I can only rember how I got it once.
I was like 8 and I was waiting for school adn saw the pepper on the table so I decied to try and sneeze like they do on cartoons. Well it got in my eye and yea poof pink yay!!!

Thanks for the advice! It's somewhat working. My eyes still hurt real bad though :(

Um, no. And to that other guy who said it's from ass-particles, that's not true either. I wear contacts so I am always touching my eyes, because they move around too much. You honestly think that I stick my finger up my ass in school and touch my eye? Fuck you. My contacts just get screwed up sometimes.
