how do i reduce the lag in my flash

alright i'm making a new flash, apparently, haha
and i have a few tweens goin on at the same time,
along with some blurred images in the background...
and everytime i get to this spot when viewing my flash in like an autoplay window thing (when you press cntrl + enter, ya know) there is a ridiculous amount of slowdown,
it's a pretty cool part though, and i don't wanna change it,
any tips?

well, a all around good way to reduce lag (with anything really) is to change the jpeg quality on the publish settings.

its hard to tell for sure from the video, but when you tween BIG things on the screen, ie: the WHOLE background image, even if its off the screen it is still trying to render it and will slow down everything. you might try to make another background that is just the right size for the tweens you are doing
