Thanks, I was just about to bring up the human rights issue where Muslims are accepted in Israel, but anyone with an Israeli passport is generally not allowed in a Muslim Country's border. In Germany, you could get a second passport to avoid situations like this but alternatively you can say you have lost your passport and apply for another one.

it's true a lot of innocent people die in these kind of actions, here are some reasons
1) a lot of those guys fire missiles at israel's border city's.
their army knows most off the time where those missile launch sites are located, but those cowards hide in urban, crowded area's....so that's the only reason israel just fires a few HE missiles at those sites..they don't like innocent people to get killed..looks bad towards UN.
2) most of these 'soldiers' use kids and woman as cover when confronted by well-trained, professional soldiers.
3) what fucking use does it have for Israel to kill a lot of civilians if they can avoid it..only makes them look bad in front of the rest of the world.

Man, Israel is 100% right, they are using the kill a fly with a nuke method. Instead of sending an infantary unit to kill the so called terrorists, which will probably get some of their soldiers killed and will save some innocent lives, they attack with cannons and order air strikes, which on the other hand saves the Israeli soldiers lives and get a whole lot of innocents killed.

We support the same presidential candidate, but we differ heavily on this issue. I can't comprehend why some people think Israel should let enough of it's people be killed by Palestinian mobs before they act.

To be perfectly clear, though, I don't unquestionably favor Israel. But if I had to choose which country would best protect liberty and basic human rights, it wouldn't exactly be a brain buster.

Well, according to therealsylvos, whom I quoted, Israel should continue (or increase doing) what they do now, to "Make them afraid to employ their terror tactics.". That's a pretty good interest, I think; the same interest that Hamas has in shooting missiles into Israel. Scare people.
Also: Emotional interest. A lot of people in Israel don't like the palestinians (and vice versa), for obvious though stupid reasons. If the government wants to show off and impress their voters, assaulting palestinians is a great idea. Probably, in Israeli media, the civilians are called "insurgents".

So basically, they have the same reason that Al-Quaeda had for 9/11 and that the UK had for bombing german civilian cities into dust during ww2. Demoralizing the enemy and moralizing (is it called that?) your own people.

But isn't it the other way around too: Israeli soldiers kill civilian palestinians. They are terrorists, in the eyes of Hamas. Israeli civilians aid those terrorist, by paying tax money among other things, and risking that those get killed are worth it in the fight against the terrorists, the israeli soldiers.

its not like that, its not who started, Hamas are starting all the time, Israel are never doing payback attacks, and saying "Hamas started", Israel are only bombing places that Qassams are coming from, and they are coming from civilian areas, thats why civilians are killed, and Hamas are the only ones knowing the truth, they know that their own citiziens are dying because of themselves, but they don't tell it to the Palestinians, thats why i don't hate the Palestinian people, because they actually believe that Hamas are doing something good, and i'm sure that Hamas know that they (themselves) are the real reason for the civilian death.

ill try to explain:
there are 10-30 Qassams/Grads launched at Israeli CITIES (Shderot, Ashkelon) by the HAMAS (Not to mention that they are the Palestinian government and they are targeting Israeli civilians!), the IDF is capable of bombing back to all of the launches, they can hit every single terrorist, easily, but they have a dilemma, shooting back, and hurting civilians (because we already know that Hamas are shooting only from very populated areas), or not bombing back, letting the rockets hitting Israeli cities, and letting the terrorist get away.
and by statistics, you can see that they only bomb back very few of the launchings, because when they bomb back, thats what you see on TV, palestinian women screaming "HOHO ALLACH WACABR INSHALLAH THEY KILLED MY BOY THE MURDERES THE OCCUPIERS THE EVIL ISRAELIS INSHALLAH" - and thats what works, thats what goes to the news.

No. The difference is vast.
When the civilians die its in an attack on the terrorists, and the civilians are close by.

Israel is a "terrorist" to Hamas whether they attack palestine or not. Vice versa it is not the same. Theres a reason why Israel is at was on average every 5 years without starting any of them.
