I am going to join the army

I have been giving it much thought and many signs in my life (continuous dreams about joining) and the idea that I will enact immediate new change in my life excites me. Life is boring to me and I don't see any way out of this terrible routine.

I know a few people who are in the army. NevadaBob on NG talks about it all the time. You make and hold peace. There's no big wars going on right now so it'd probably be a smart time to join. My friends older sister and her husband were in the army and were never deployed outside of Canada and they said they loved it. My cousins friend Jeff is being deployed in the middle east some time soon and he said he loves it.

The money isn't that great, but you can't spend any so you're always saving. I will get to see the world and I will be put into exciting environments that I never would be in normally otherwise.

Any one have any thoughts?

Well no World Wars. There's many conflicts. Dying in a world war seems so pointless. Just a fallen number. I guess that's when you should be in the army the most.

I think the Canadian Armed Forces looks the most badass. The navy is interesting, I could probably change after my first 3 year deployment if I wanted.

your expecience in the service all depends on your job and unit, if you end up getting a unit with a shitbag for a commander and retarded nco's you're going to hate it, otherwise it's pretty positive. If you want any respect from any other foriegn military be a scout sniper, otherwise canuck troops are just for handing out bandaids and staying in the rear.
