In attempting to capitalize on earlier success, "Egoraptor" has built a glass empire out of shoddily-animated and increasingly unfunny concepts, appealing to this audience on Newgrounds for the sole reason that it involves video games -- the bread and butter of many poor, deluded lives that spend their time browsing "Egoraptor's" submissions.

Here's another thought. Maybe he was making flashes for the people who liked them and not trying to 'build an empire'. Maybe he likes making those flashes? Maybe he likes making most people laugh? [sarcasm] No, that can't be it, right? Anyone who makes movies the same style has to be trying to build up some kind of...internet empire or something like that.

In his lust for the limelight, "Egoraptor" cannot stand it when his submissions fall off the top-ten-of-all-time list of flash animations, and thus, continues to pump out these increasingly-unwanted rehashings of video game parody.

OR could it be that he likes making movies, for people without something up their ass, to enjoy. Maybe he likes people writing reviews about how much it made them laugh? [sarcasm] Nah, what am I thinking? Everyone knows that someone will only submit something if one of their previous flashes fall off the top 10, right? That has to be the only reason.

Right. Because if you don't like it, it HAS to be undeserved. Forget what other people think, it's just about your opinions via how you are some kind of internet God. You are the type of person that I feel shouldn't have the right to vote on movies. If you don't like it you vote 0 and 0 and 0 until you feel the score is 'fair'. Don't vote unfairly and then talk about this unfair score it has, hypocrite.

just because you hate a submission doesnt mean you have to 0 it everyday just to eliminate the supposed 5s it keeps getting. There are two possible things that could cause this:

- Other people are rating it, not the same person
- Someone who is OBSESSED with MGA2 keeps voting, which I highly doubt, even on NG, no one would devote that much time into one flash.

So do us all a favor and stop imposing your opinion on us, you hate it, vote 0, I like it, I vote 5, it is done.

And one last thing, even if you are right (highly unlikely), so many more people are voting 5 that it offsets your 0.....so nice try.

Firstly, when you vote 0 on a high scoring movie, the score drops a lot (just as 5ing a low scored movie brings the score up a lot). If you don't get it, don't think about it, you wouldn't understand it anways.

Now for the review part, there have been a lot of reviews that scored low, they simply got deleted because some of the mods are either MGA fans or the reviews were very abusive. You need to write an at least 5 paragraph review when you review 0 but reviewing 10 with 2 words like "that's awesome" is ok for some reason.

point well taken, but the point of giving a flash a low score is to "positively criticize" a flash and give reasons why you gave it a low score. How are you going to explain something that is awesome and deserved a 10? "Great job! I loved the graphics and animation, your frame rate was flawless!"

If you can span a compliment across 5 paragraphs, I salute you.

It is a lot easier to criticize than compliment 5 paragraphs, that is why you must explain yourself.

It can be a good flash and still be overrated.

Is MGA a good flash with a lot of time and effort put into it? Undeniably.

Does it deserve a score of over a 4.50? Undeniably not. And over time, the score will drop to reflect that. Nothing new---it happens to every flash once the "OMG" factor wears off.

Then that is against the rules, if the opinion is positively criticizing, it shouldnt be deleted. If this is happening then you are right, the system is wrong. But we cant do a damn thing about it. Man, some of these things you cant change unless you have some support from the higher ups......

Flash like MGA only stay high in the ranks for a short time. A flash of true quality stays up there for months, or maybe years.

p.s. MGA is on my favs, but only people who like the humour will 5 it. Nobody can vote low on Waterlollies simply because it appeals to everyone. Comedy does not.

Chances are it's the Waterlollies Fanboy Effect that's been in effect since Waterlollies reched the top. Adam Phillips' fans don't want to see any other author, whether Egoraptor, Krinkels (it happened to the most recent Madness), or anyone else overtake their hero's greatest movie, so they downvote anything above it and mass-upvote Waterlollies. I don't think it's organized, but... The fact remains that it happens.

Actually, I do know people who dislike Brackenwood... But only a few of them, and they're the type of people (mostly members of spam crews, though not always spammers themselves) who are always talking about how "original" Flash movies that appeal to their own personal sense of humor are overlooked, while Waterlollies is held up as a work of God or something. There's only a few of them though.

i have nothing against egoraptor personally. especially because he came out and admitted his flash was overhyped.

but for the love of god, you idiots, there are literally HUNDREDS of flashes on this site better than metal gear awesome. the highest peak score a flash could possibly achieve used to be 4.2 or so, so the majority of the absolute classics from several years ago have scores in that range.

now that this whole fanboy dynamic has completely taken over this website after the redesign, flashes like tankmen and the awesome series are getting near perfect 5.0 scores. this is fucking ludicrous. those are the types of flashes that, by definition, not everyone enjoys. but because their fanbases' influence has become so incredibly vast, you get the impression that they couldn't possibly be done any better. the reality is, they could be SO much better. ive seen countless 4.2 flashes that outshine these newer 4.7 flashes in every way. the best flashes in the history of this website are now gonna be forever overlooked because of this new generation of idiotic fanboyism.

mindless praise won't help the authors to improve their flashes, it will cause them to stagnate in a perpetual cycle of giving the masses what they want with less and less actual effort involved, like what illwillpress does. constructive criticism, negative reviews, and 0 votes are exactly what these overly popular flashes need. it helps the authors to actually improve, and gain a different perspective that their legions of cock sucking fans could never possibly give them. its a damn shame that the review mods feel the need to quash any dissenting viewpoints. dissent is what restores the natural balance of this site. if you get rid of it, you'll fuck over the whole system.
