How do use script that..music bar?

Im not sure wats it called but it measure the level of the music...
What i mean is... likes say a steady drum is beating every 5 second..the music bar (or what its call) will move up everytime the drum is playing and when its not it will just go down...
Like the animation, "NO life...no music" on the bottom of the animation there's that music..meaurement thingy..
I wanna know how to make that...(i believe its scripting)
