However, if anyone can give tips on how to reduce file size in flash, I would love to have a go and try trimming the file size down to something more manageable. :)
If you think your flash is very good, you can send it to Tom for him to put it on the site.
If it's not that good then go here and look at a couple of tutorials on how to optimize your flash.
ok then, thanks alot. I'll have a check to see if i can reduce it myself and leave the Tom option as a last resort. :)
You need to optimize your audio to reduce the number of MB in your Flash. To do this, you need a .mp3 to .wav converter.

Optimising audio, reducing graphic quality slightly for the sake of being able to upload are steps that can be taken. However, if you can find no way to those things, you can send the finished flash to Tom, who will then look over it, and if it is very good, he will allow it to be uploaded, but only if it is very good.

Wrong, you don't need a converter yourself. Flash exports the audio itself, compressed to 16 kpbs by default. Moreover, .wav files are waaaay bigger than .mp3 files because they are uncompressed.
Maybe the topic starter just selected a wrong compression process (wav or raw instead of mp3). He should check the export settings in Flash and adjust them accordingly.
