mozart is to classical as the beatles are to rock.
tbh I only like Sergeant Peppers as a complete album, although they've got some good songs on other albums too
I think Sergeant Peppers was like the climax of the Beatle genius. And anyone who says they're shit and not important doesn't know anything about popular music.
Oh. Gooby.

I love the fact that your username is Bovineoverlord... the irony in it amuses me.
Few to no bands can compare to both the greatness of the music The Beatles made, and the many musicians in so many different styles who were inspired by The Beatles.
It should be noted I can't stop listening to this masterpiece album that closed their run:
Far away, across the field, the tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees, to hear the softly spoken magic spells.......
I like their music, but it isn't classical music.

You got to be kidding...
The Beatles adapted the "zerg rush" strategy for their music.
Something in the way she moves... ;_;
The Beatles are great, they have some great songs, truly one of the greatest bands ever.
Shit.
They're good, but they must have been high when writing the lyrics for this song.

they were probably high when they were writing the lyrics to most of their songs

You're being serious...?
I was like that as a child as we'll. I never relly wanted to listen to the beatles. It just wasn't in my taste at the time.
But around the age of 15-16. I was madly in love with them. I would listen to them all the time. I even dubbed the movie yellow submarine as one of my favorite movies at one time.
But now, i'm not so much into them. Thou, i do enjoy listening to them from time to time.
I also enjoy going to youtube to watch clips of the yellow submarine.

they're a bit too underground I guess
I'm also guessing he's younger than 13, probably substantially so
Maybe your taste in music just changed.
We all live in a yellow submarine.
A yellow submarine...
A yellow submarine...

I think you've found one.
On another note, the Beatles were the embodiment of style and music, and 'artist' who was not influenced by the Beatles either came before them or does not like music.
EDN.

When I was little, Yellow Submarine was my favorite movie. I even have a model of Ringo and a Blue Meanie.
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I've known the Beatles since birth, as well as many other bands like Rage, Primus, Ween, Phish, Sublime and such. Not because I listened to them persay, but because I heard their music via garage almost everyday until age eight. You see, my dad, his brother, and their dad were the drummer, guitarist, and bassist of their own band.
And back to the topic, yes the Beatles are my favorite band to this day. A close second would be Ween, and I couldn't really choose after that.

And you do?
....NOT!
woah, woah, woah where do you live (lols aside)
There was a radio station near me recently that had a beatles weekend.
early stuff is terrible, but i just listened to sgt pepper this december for the first time while i was on purple. it was the most beautiful thing i ever heard
The Beatles kicks ass
I'm glad you realized it
Confusion will be my epitaph. As I crawl a cracked and broken path. If we make it we can all sit back and laugh.
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying,

Well since this was already bumped anyway... I guess I'll just say I live in San Diego, and we were taking a road trip up to Temecula to help my sister move into her new house. It's about a one-hour drive give or take.
And I have to say, Earfetish is one intelligent and cool guy. I've pretty much agreed with everything he has said in this thread.
Beatels ? They aren't interesting

I really have no interest in the opinion of a person who can't even properly spell the name of the band he is mocking, with no supporting evidence of why he is mocking them.
We all have our own musical preferences, but even when I was younger and disliked the Beatles* I at least conceded that they were a legendary band. Which they undeniably are.
But you won't learn anything from this post, will you Dks60? You'll probably continue on stumbling through life, one unplanned accident after the other... Such a sad state of affairs.
