4.09 / 5.00 15,161 ViewsI'm looking for a good piece of background art to use on a cover piece for a comic I'm planning. I was hoping to just photoshop something and then apply a drawing-like filter to it, but I can't find decent enough source. I was hoping to find an image similar to what I have below. My question is could somebody make a nice version of this image? The edge of a cliff, over the ocean, and a sunset. If anybody does this, and I end up using it, full credit will be given.
Feel free to use this topic for posting possible background images and source for comic artists/ animators as well. (As well as ideas/tips/tricks.) Backgrounds can be the most difficult part of media art!
Time is priceless, waste it wisely...
I'll be honest... It isn't that good.
You'll want to spend more time on it... Add more details. Cover-art for a comic is supposed to be impressive... After all, with comics, it's the pretty picture on the cover that would catch your eye when you're walking through a comic book store.
So, in summary - More time, more effort, more details.
Just imagine I wrote something witty and funny here....
Oh, and check out my artwork: http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic /802110

I was asking if somebody could improve that one. It was just a basic idea. I'm terrible at backgrounds. I'm looking for help, not criticism.
