if you have flash mx open the fla file and export the movie to .mov (h.264), if the quality looks good and the file size is small and works with the ipod then you done good.

otherwise there is software like isquint which is the free version to visual hub.

also quicktime pro is a powerfull program.

you can always try swf2avi and then from there into videora ipod convertor. there are numerous ways of accomplishing the same thing. you just have to try to find what is best to your liking.
