Many people believe that anarchy is total lawlessness and disorder caused by punkish-skinheads kind of vandalising and demonstrating (see riot). What people forget is that a real anarchist is a person who wants total freedom by PACIFIST manners. So to all of you 13 year old who think anarchist are the equivalent of punks, thimk twice and find out what it really means.

The Anarchist's Cookbook.
Why are you interested in anarchy though? There are a hundred ways that you could take anarchy.

Anarchy is not serving in the f##king U.S. army. Anarchy is being vegan. Anarchy is good.

An anarchistic organisation that you could contribute to and/or be actively involved in would be a contradiction of terms.
The easiest solution would be to go out into the wild shrubs of Irkutsk or Kamchatka, remove yourself from civilisation altogether and live as a hermit. That way, you could live however you wanted to, and you would be out of our hair. :)

That makes you a vengeful vandal, not an anarchist. Learn the difference, please :)

Well if you're a Anarcho-Capitalist it could be considered an oxymoron. However, Anarcho-Communism stresses the needs of societies, or cooperatives. These are both forms of organisation. Would someone who is a Anarchist, but not a Marxist, explain how you would get from a Capitalist/Mixed economy to an state of Anarchy (I was going to say Anarchist state, but that is a contradiction in terms.)

I wouldn't mind anarchy if the world didn't run on money and order.
I don't want to become a victim of stronger people. You have to know when there is anarchy, the strong rule the weak.
So even in an anarchist state, there is still law and order, you will be a slave to the will of the strong. At least in this society everyone has a say. I wouldn't mind being reduced to an anarchist state, strong willed people such as myself would have room for advancement and a chance for power.
In this soceity, the weak (majority) control the strong and the strong (minority) occassionaly victimize the weak.
I'm rambling. With a strong leader, there would be balance in the world.

Anarchy would work very well for the first generation. But generations after that lacking the ability to feed the population or seek medical care would die out.

Well thats the thing with Daoism. It's a Chinese philosophy that deals with disconnecting yourself from society and living "according to the way"
But no one knows what the way is, because one of the major phrases from it is "those who know the way don't speak it, those who speak it do not know it."
But as far as I know it involves getting back to nature and living like Robinson Crusoe, except without the slave-dude.

I agree with some anarchistic ideas (like laissez Faire). However, I'm not a retard. I need organization to make my life happier (ex Taco Bell, strip clubs, drug cartels, etc). So I think some things are more complex than they should be, and should be simplified. But if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I see things haven't changed too much around here....
*Nirvana cracks knuckles*
Here goes.....
Real anarchists are opposed to all forms of hierarchical organization, not only the state.
Anarchists have differing ideas on precisely how society should to be organized. They all agree that the State must be replaced by a society without classes and without force. The anarchist movement has a long history and it arose not in the heads of ivory tower philosophers, but from the practical struggle for survival of masses of ordinary, oppressed people.
All chaos is believed to originate from authority and the State. It is a fundamental anarchist principle that only people that live in an area have the right to decide what happens there. Powers that be can only get in the way and impose things. Without the ruling class needing to keep us oppressed there would be no State. Anarchists seek to replace the state, not with chaos, but with the natural, spontaneous forms of organization that emerged from mutual aid and common interests.
