Cutting your tongue frenulum...

Okay, NG, have you had your tongue frenulum cut? Bonus points if you have done it yourself and can tell me about it.

A tongue frenulum is the thing that connects your tongue to the bottom of your mouth. Being 'tongue-tied' means having this frenulum extend all the way out to the tip of your tongue. Mine does this, and I want to cut it. I need to know how long it would take to heal, how long till it stops bleeding, etc.

No this is not a bullshit topic. Please help if you know anything.

Okay, mine extends all the way to the tip of my tongue. I was going to cut maybe half an inch into it. I assure you, I will not swallow my tongue.

I had mine cut, but it pretty much grew back, only not as far up as before. It's probably halfway between where it originally was and how far I could stick my tongue out when it was completely severed.

Well, I did it. I cut almost exactly 1/2 inch into it. Didn't hurt all that bad, except for the first cut right at the start of the frenulum. Dear god. I can stick my tongue out farther though, and so (hopefully) can french kiss, at least half-assed.

Speaking of that, Tuesday will be the first day I have a french kiss. Any advice?

I've never had that happen to me. But i knew a guy who accidently cut that part of his tounge. He had a peircing under there. and he accidently pulled it out.

I don't remember how bad it was. I don't even think it hurt him. But it was pretty messed up. And he did bleed alittle bit. But not to much.

I'm not sure how it healed...
