Video Game Stances

Sometimes I feel as though I'm the only American who owns a Gamecube....and enjoys it. PS2 rules and of course, deserves to rule....but.....Am I alone? Or am I a lone NG player in a world of Sony and X-Box?

Three words:
Quality over quantity

The GameCube has more GOOD titles than the Xbox does.

If I had enough to buy a system, I would get a GameCube. A year and a half ago, it would have definitley been PS2. But the GameCube has just gotten so much stronger in the past few months.

Where have you been? GC has around 250 titles available now, and by the end of 2003, it will have over 300. It really doesn't matter if one system has more then another, it all comes down to the quality of the games, and from my experience, GC has the highest quality ratio of games then anyone else. If I want to play GTA, FF, or MGS (for example), I can just use my PC, because they're all on PC. And to the person who started this topic, don't worry, you'r not the only person to own a GC. I got mine 1 month after it came out and I love it more and more each day.

i gotta say in my opinion x-box is so far below gamecube and ps2 i love gamecube for such games as ssb melee and animal crossing but ps2 has the smackdown series....im confused

Lol my brother owns a x box an game cube an doesnt play the cube.
I have a ps2 an he spends most his time playin Gta:Vice city on that.Or madden on the x box.
I'm a sony fan myself.

I have both a gamecube and xbox, so your not alone. I do have to say though that ps2 sucs, b/c it is by far the worst system out by tech. standpoints and many others. Gamecube feels more like a classic system, and does have some great titles (Metroid prime, crytal chronicles, etc). Still, even after owning both systems (and playing all of them), i do have to say that Xbox is the best out there, from a tech. and game standpoint. One of the main reasons being Xbox live, i mean, really, what's better than playing a lagless 16 player shooter and being able to talk smack over the communicater at the same time?

Gamecube here, even though I'm Canadian. It has a lot of titles to choose from, and they're not kiddy(well some of the, are..). Like Resident Evil and other stuff.

I don't have a Gamecube, but I do have an X-Box and a Ps2, when I was getting the X-box, I was thinking about GC or XBox, but at the time X-box had more games than Gamecube out, but the graphics for GC are good, but to me some of them seem to be more of a family friendly... but that's what Nintendo is, a family friendly system.

i own both a gamecube and a xbox, but for the most part i only really enjoy playing my xbox games. i own most every "good" gamecube title, because i bought it for the first party exclusives. i just havent had any fun with it though. im very happy that i own a xbox as well because if not, id be pretty unsatisfied with gaming.

i got all the 3 consoles but id have to say x-box is my least fav right now. ps2 is my favorite cause i got soul calibur for it like a week ago. but when halo 2 comes out im hookin that up with x-box live and thats gonna be my favorite for a long time...atleast till GTA4

you should have gotten sc for xbox. it has better graphics, it loads faster, and it has spawn, who's way cooler than heihachi.

and im pretty sure GTA4 will be on xbox too since now GTA3 and GTAVC are going to be available for it.

But I live in the united states, and I own a Gamecube. At first I didn't know how good the games were going to be; I was disappointed with the N64. But Super Smash Brothers Melee was announced, and that made up my mind. Now I'm surprised at the growing library of games - the Gamecube reminds me of the good ol' days where Konami, Capcom, Square, et al were producing games that supported Nintendo's first party games.

Gamecube is definitely the best of the current consoles. It recently outsold the PS2 in last month's sales, so I'm not the only one to think that.

I'm in an undying battle with my gamecube owning friends who keep saying it has better games than PS2. I mention Final Fantasy and they come back with "crystal version coming for GC!" I come with Tekken, they reply with "Smash Brothers" I attack with Graphics, they come back with "new better nintendo system coming soon" when it comes down to it, gamecube has no point.

Cyros owns all the systems but the Xbox is definitly the best, then Gamecube and finally Ps2 (sorry but if sony didnt make such shoddy products then it would be number 2) DAMN PS2s DISK READ ERROR! Cyros will have to buy a new Ps2 (which shouldn't need to be done).

Well, considering the Gamecube has better hardware, then it has better graphics going for it.
Both systems will have new Final Fantasy games.
Smash Brothers is ten times... maybe a bazillin-jillian times better than Tekken.
So, basically you have no point. But if you like the PS2 better, then why does it matter what your friends say? Go over to their house and play all the Gamecube exclusive games, and they can go over to your house and play Vice City or whatever.

i have a Gamecube and i enjoy it very much and its competeing neck and neck with my Ps2 for which is played more all while my Xbox sits there cold and alone not hooked up to my speaker system.

But seeing as I have SoulCaliber2 on PS2 the PS2 is winning now.
