im putting together a portfolio of all my games and some of my work has sprites i didn't draw. would there be any legal ramifications if i put them in my portfolio.

You wouldn't have to give credit for each of the 9000 different sprite pictures in there. As long as you have clearly stated what parts you have (or haven't) done you won't have any problems.

let's just say it was so hard too find that it was fun? and yes i stronglly recommend you too credit people else ( if you life in the USA ) you will get a sued for a lot of cash for sure. much luck btw

okay ... weird joke.
just ask the makers and then credit them.
or just don't bother. 75% of all sprite flashes I have seen in portfolios haven't been credited, but it's a good practise to get into.

well we must not forget that everyone once used someone elses author rights isn't? we all once used a little drawing from someone else or took an idea from someone else and never got into problems with it

That's different. If you're taking sprites or graphics from places, you need to credit as many people as you can remember. It's not only a copyright issue but it's also the nice thing to do.

yeah than you didn't know an asshole i know, i'm totally pissed off at that asshole i made him a logo and he never credited me so i send him a invoice but he refused to pay, he isn't finished with me, oh hell no he isn't.
