In other news, I inquired about a couple flats that I'm considering.. theres a 3 bedroom one near the Tottenham court tube station that's caught my eye.. that would be optimal. What I may do is if anyone is looking to stay at the flat they can pay 20q or something for the bed... that seems fair.. then id atleast use that for my tube pass or something. and if people want to bring their own sleeping bag and find a space on the floor obviously that'd be free. *shrug* i dunno im just thinking out loud right now.

I think the idea sucks balls actualy. Lugging laptops down to london to do something that we would usualy do anyway.

I'm now going to run from the mob of coders...
Hehe, I have more of an image of the coders sat at the computer drawing terribly while slurring "Hey look - I can do art too".
Art is much more fun than coding to do collaboratively :P I guess the coding can work itself out.

We could always have an old skool, everyone-run-towards-the-ball-like-a-rea lly-bad-AI playground game. Just so long as everyone's at an equal level of craptitude.

lol, depending on how many show up we could get a 5-a-side tournament on the go.
Or we could just get a copy of Pro and a multi-tap. =)

Heh, middle-class company that I keep, smoking is generally regarded by my friends as being marginally more socially acceptable than paedophilia. It's never really bothered me, but that might just be because I always used to stay with me nan on Fridays and she smoked like a chimney.

I'd pay £20 to stay no worries.
I'm shit at football like most (I'm assuming Mogly is decent) but I think it'll be a laugh to have a kickaround. We need to decide who's bring a ball (I don't have one).
I'll decide closer to the time, but I might bring round the 360.
We really need to see who's bringing what. Maybe organise a little more than last time. Perhaps a decent banner this year, maybe without the tank :P?

If somebody brings Pro Evo and their PS2 or whatever that'd be brilliant. I LOVE Pro Evo, it's the only game I play at the mo. A pro Evo tourny would be wicked. I'm not brilliant at playing footy, i'm quite good at keepy uppies. A game would be great fun tho.
I dont like Russel Square btw Lu. Me and my mate got lost their when looking for Kings cross. It didn't seem that good their. Tottenham court is my fave place in London so I think you should go there if you have the chance.

I used to be excellent at that game.
Bought FIFA for the 360 this year instead though. Still, there pretty similar from what i remember.
If anyone's got PES, i could bring my 360. Might as well fill my bag with something since at the minute all i was planning on putting in it was a hoodie, cigarettes and a bottle of Aftershock.

Well I'm pretty much staying in Russell Square cause thats where they had the most economical and largest flat. It's high season so options are alot more limited this time around in terms of places to stay. Anywho, I'll be moving this discussion to the general forum in May. It would be cool to have a bit more planning to it. I learned a few more things from the meetup in montreal this past weekend so hopefully with each new meetup the process is a bit more refined and ultimately, more fun.
Tthats all for now, no new updates.

Aslong as areas such as the flat are generally limited to flash regs + mods, it will be nice supposing i can come this time round to have a larger group for the main meetup stuff

Yeah thats the idea. It actually turned out well in montreal, everyone was suprisingly mature and we had no incidents or uninvited intruders.... except for a traffic cone.
Regardless, i dont want people knowing of a flat. That will instantly send greenlights to come to the flat thinking that they can crash. Which is not what i want. Especially if i dont know them so when that thread does come about its important that people dont bring up the subject of the flat... lets keep that little detail out of the equation for awhile. I want to have the mad influx of people on saturday and then the other days its a smaller group to get around the city and mingle and maybe make something to submit to the portal.

Oh my god, now I want to come too! (I have no idea why I read this thread in the first place...)
I love soccer, have been playing since I was 4 years old.
I'm not coming though, I like to be the mysterious user around here...

Well if I come in London this summer, I'll need a place to stay. Other than that I guess I can find a way to get there... in Plane of course :)

I've failed to attend any London meet ups for the last goodness knows how many years, but this time round I'm pretty resolved to go for atleast a day. And I can also offer the services of my playstation two and various games if required. I don't have pro evo, but I can buy it once my next pay slip comes through, but seriously I'm in it just for the sake of finally bothering to go to a London meet up.
And to drink beer.
