Havent decided on the seaside thing yet.. It might be a nightmare to coordinate... i'll actually be introducing this thread in the general forum around June.. so the turnout will probably be more substantial than before... which was already in the twenties... I thought about it for quite some time and I think that it'd help people mingle better if we opened it beyond the flash regs that frequent the site.. as much as i hate general forum users.. they are part of newgrounds too >_<
Anywho.. I may go down near the seaside anyway as a smaller group... i know that AlmightHans and a few other people were staying with me so it may be refreshing to take a small trip out beyond the city as a small group and just leave the main meetup the way its been in the past.
The advantage of the way we've done it before is that its such a central location that you really cant miss it... i mean you can see the london eye from flying into london..
More on this at a later time. I'll actually be in town August 28th - Sept 2
Unfortunately the flats I got back in January arent available during summer months so i'll have to think of somewhere new to stay. It definately wont be in two flats though.

As bastardised as we are (i'm half and half), I'd nearly be up for this as I should be in London around August.
I might see you nerds soon.
It's pronounced Rag-el you fools!

Camping? Outside London?
That sounds near enough to me. I better get my blowtorch ready. All tent damage is entirely incidental.
Give my thoughts form and make them look insightful.

Hey, it's during the school holidays this year! There's a slim possibility I might go, I'll be 14 by the time this takes place. Any idea how old the youngest person going is?
I may not be going. In fact, I may not come until the London Meetup 5. :(

I'll be there, Mark will be there and Kester will probably come as well.
If you want a game of football in London, you want to look into going to Hyde Park.
Also, if I recall, Buckingham palace is off Hyde Park too, so you Yanks can do the tourist thing and get your photo taken there.

Sorry about last time!
As Luis knows I broke a bone and was not able to get in contact with him to let him know I wont be showing up.
But I would be more than happy to attend this meet, because I know a lot of your love me so much.

Or, if you really want to, get a vistor pass and sneak on to the roof, like those people who protested on the roof a while ago...
I think they just went up there, but whenever I search for an artical, I keep being told about the Fathers 4 Justice protest on the roof...

I don't understand how anyone my age can get their parents to let them go to an internet meet-up. It's embarrassing enough without the fact that you'll be a leech onto the pub drinking, although I reckon I could pass for 18. I got served in the Birmingham Campus Pub recently, which was fun.
Actually, that was probably different. Pubs in London are much stricter. I'll wait until I move out until I go to one of these.

It's not just about drinking.
The main day is about having fun in London, talking, meeting, videogames (football?!?) and the night is about drinking. It also allows people who are younger than 18 to come.

I still reckon it would be kind of weird to be with people that much older than you.
Different interests, size, capabilities, etc.

As JPI said... the actual meetup is only a few hours.. arcades usually satisfy every age group so most of the time we hang out at namco.. video gamez is fun. Its just an opportunity for people to mingle and talk about newgrounds related shit... its kind of like this forum.. except offline.
It's open to whatever age really.. its never really been an issue in the past cause we dont go pub crawling as part of the meetup. i do think that people who have a long history with this site or its users get more out of it ...
After a few hours, some people go home and some stick around for a pub crawl for the older crowd later in the evening.
I should mention that I dont endorse any mission impossible type of shit... if you know your parents are going to give you a beating of a lifetime just dont even risk it. Use common sense.
