Women can choose to keep their own surname if they want to. I imagine the two men either keep their own surnames or one of them uses their partners surname.

They would either keep their original names or they'd decide between them which name to choose.

If they're gays, maybe the 'giver' keeps his name and the 'receiver' receives the giver's surname.

Not all straight marriages involve the woman taking the man's surname, by the way. There were two Foreign Language teachers at my school (man and a woman) who got married, and the male took her surname.

it's like a marriage. either of them can decide and choose between each other which name they'll have - or they'll keep there names the same. it's nothing amazing.

Props to EyelessArchfiend for the sig.

With lesbians the butch's name is often shared but, most of the time they just keep their original name.

They'd keep the original name and marriage isn't defined by a man and a man, thus the surnames do not apply anyhow.

Not to mention, gays will never be allowed to "Marry" in the way we think of it. Civil unions are the way for the queers.

Pfffft.

The one who isn't the first, of course.

Someone asked me this today; if I got married to a woman, who would take the other surname? But, I have no idea.
