Well, I listened carefully. I've redesigned my site, and here is a list of improvements over the previous version. The Site.
1) No tables.
2) Not as dark.
3) Complete cross-browser compatibility, including our dearly beloved IE 6.0
4) I used transparent .GIFs instead of .PNGs. This way the site looks good even in IE 6.0
Any more suggestions? At this stage, features can still be added.

It looks ok, now you need to put your CSS in an external file so that you can update the site more easily.

And the javascript.
It looks alot better but I'm not gone on the colours :), but, layout/style wise, its definetly an improvement.

Not bad at all. A little too saturated in my opinion though. Also, it'd be better to just use two background images and regular text for the navigation instead of two images for each button. You'd go from twenty images to two.

Aye, not to bad.
I think something needs to be done with the footer, it looks sorta outta place at the minute.
The nav bar should be expanded to fill the full area (width-wise) and maybe some sorta of divider between the left and right content. Maybe a nicer font as well. Also, the ad looks kind of out of place as well.
Finally, like Jessi said get the CSS in an external file. Oh, and theres a few errors you could sort out as well.
Despite the above criticims, the sites definatley a step in the right direction. Nice use of colours, much better than the previous version. Keep up the good work :)

The site loaded weirdly for me, it loaded the template, but not the content, then suddenly the content appeared in one flash.
It looks a hell of a lot better. I'm not too sure about the font used in the banner, though.

Okay. I'll put the CSS into an external file, and work on getting it XHTML valid. I dunno about the text based buttons, though... Where do you suggest I might reposition the ad? A little lower maybe? This is actually the first time I've coded a site for IE, so it should work well there. Can anybody test it in IE 7? I only have IE for Mac, which might be different than the common Windows version.

I stopped supporting IE 6 and upgraded to IE 7 about 2 months ago. Your site displays fine on IE 7.

Oh good. It's good to know that those 3 hours I spent fixing the site for IE were not wasted. I actually thought it would be hard to make the site using only CSS and XHTML, but it turned out to be quite easy.

He's doing fine on his own and is learning. You can't learn without doing.

Also, Kayol, that website looks horrible. No offense, but you should have a decent design yourself before trying to sell to others. Then again, I'm an asshole.

How come the titles are in Arial (or some kind of sans serif font) and the body is in Times? Looks ood. Times usualy isnt a good idea anyway...
Do you really own the "DZine" copyright?
How come half the site is grey and half blue?
The free forums are gross. They may as well not exsist, you don't need a forum on a personal site.
Home page is very boring, makes me want to leave as soon as I get in. Can't you entice me with some links to cool content, or at least let me know what the site is about, I have no idea what I am supposed to do next when I get on.

looks great, but you should use different backgrounds, or summat to seperate the main page from the footer from your news box at the side. Oh, and think about not using times ;)

Okay. I listened, and I looked at other sites. Now the site is less saturated, easier on the eyes, and the font has been changed to Verdana(since you all complained about Times). I'm still working on XHTML validity.

How hard can it be? It's like a 5 minute job. The validator even tells you what to change.
