Kings of Leon, Jay-Z, and The Verve
As someone on NME.com aptly put it, Kings of Leon aren't big enough to headline, Jay-Z isn't good enough to headline, and The Verve aren't legendary enough to headline.
Blech.
For Americans and musical retards, Glastonbury is the largest music festival in the world. To give an example of headliners, last year it was Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, and The Who, and the time before that it was The White Stripes, Coldplay, and Basement Jaxx (replacement for Kylie Minogue). They've had some of the biggest bands in pop/rock playing, and I doubt I'm the only person who thinks this year's headliners are a bit of a letdown. :|\\\\\

Lame.
The Killers
Lame.
The Who
Lame.
and the time before that it was The White Stripes
Extremely lame.
Coldplay
Not bad, but nothing I'd pay money to see. Maybe if they accepted stones and twigs as currency.
and Basement Jaxx (replacement for Kylie Minogue).
Both lame.

Disregard it then. They're still lame.

TBH, last years sounds disappointing if you weren't a Who fan. Bands with only two albums have no place headlining a festival with over an hour's set.
This years does sound bad though, KOL only have three albums, and they've never been hugely popular. Jay-Z is not the kind of person I guess you'd casually listen to, so only his fans will be happy. And how many of his fans go to Glasto? Then the Verve, never been a fan, but they've been out of the spotlight too long, and were never epic.
Bleh. I bet Reading is shit this year too.

I dunno, all their albums have been in the top 3 in the UK album charts, they've had a few top 20 singles (The Bucket, On Call, and Fans), and most importantly, they do put on an incredible live show, but I still don't think they're glasto material. T in the park or V fest, sure, but not glasto. :\

Bittersweet Symphony, Sonnet, The Drugs Don't Work, and Lucky Man.
All their other songs are crap.
Bleh. I bet Reading is shit this year too.
There are three american headliners, apparently.

The only thing lamer than your taste in music is Stephen Hawking's legs.

That could be either good or bad. I'd settle for Foo Fighters or Rage Against The Machine headlining.

Nothing hilarious about my taste in music. Just because I don't listen to shitty wiener bands like The Killers and Kings of Leon.

I agree, I was considering getting tickets this year after the line-ups of previous years (haven't been since '99), but now I don't think I'll bother.
Might head over to Download though, depends on the line-up when that is announced.

Just looked, so far there's Kiss, The Offspring, Lost Prophets, Judas Priest, Motorhead, HIM and Rise Against. The rest are to be announced :)

The Offspring
Not bad, but I'm not a fan.
Lost Prophets
Couple of decent songs.
Judas Priest

Motorhead
One good song cheapened by being overplayed.
HIM
Lame.
and Rise Against.
Lame.

T in the Park has a good line up this year, but for some reason you can't view it on the site anymore.

Upon closer inspection they may have still had last years line up, or just a list of bands that have played it in the past up, as other sites don't seem to match what was on there.

T In The Park line-up dosen't come out for a few more days I think. I'm getting my tickets for it on Saturday, whatever the line up is.

I've got some money set aside so I can get them if it's a good line up. I'll not bother if it's shite, though.

Yeah, but if it's no good I'd rather just save the money and go to one of the other festivals.

You better be teaching your apprentice about "The Final Countdown".......
Far away, across the field, the tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees, to hear the softly spoken magic spells.......
