French is relatively easy. English is hard.
Le Francais n'est trés pas difficile. It has some annoying rules (annoying because most of the rules have exceptions) but the structure and much of the vocab are very similar.
Latin sounds quite tricky, as do the languages that don't use a roman alphabet.

I know what do you mean...Yo hablo español...
obviously Asians THATS WHY THEY ARE SO SMART with those symbols to try understand
You know the hardest language to learn... English.
Japanese is the second hardest. Can't remember what third is.

Giantbomb, duder! Steamy.
Hotel Dusk, Ace Attorney, and Metal Gear Solid. I'm set.
I would say the second language is the hardest to learn, which is why I'm not going to bother learning another language.
Well, off course, to learn to write perfect Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hebrew, Arabic, Persian, Thai, Hindu, or other languages with their own set of symbols is pretty hard for anyone used to these letters.
Hardest grammar, however, I beleive there's been some research into this, would be Finnish and Hebrew.
Hardest to learn to speak would probably be some of the african languages with throat sounds and tongueclicks.
Also, English is rather hard to get exactly right, as there's a difference between pronounciation and spelling.
Also, on a side note, Japanese has pretty simple stucture once you get past the writing.
Bonjoir je m'appelle Katey Je suis intelligente tres timide et un peu sportive Comment ca va?
Hello my name is katey i am intelegent and very shy and really sportive how are you
see that is not so hard is it lol
There are those crazy Africa tribe languages with like.. clicks and shit... those are pretty hard I'm guessing..
There's also that language that's based on whistling... which would be hard as well...
Chinese, no arguments.
I remember a thread like this about the exactly same thing . . .
From a global perspective, I'd have to say learning, and speaking English would be the hardest, as we've crammed so many idioms into our own damn vocabulary, any poor sod trying to learn the language has an even harder time.
Meh, I'm not to fond of Spanish, but if I ever have to escape to Mexico, I'll need it.

Well that was a different suggestion, heh, may be true though. English has a lot of learning in it, but since most people here have been speaking it for a long time it's not a language we consider hard to learn . . . I still think Chinese has a much more complicated lingual structure though.
I found Vulcan to be the hardest language, followed by 1337 sp34k
lolwut?

Ah, yeah, I forgot about the whole tone thing and shit. But I think the orient languages have a pretty straingforward structure.
French is an easy language. From What I've heard the hardest languages to learn are English, Latin. Hebrew and Icelandic. I've been taught both French and Latin to I can also verify that to some extent.
