Help with character design

After getting sick after a while of just making full out "proper" characters in my flash, Im edging on making a new (very violent) series, but one problem, I hate drawing eyes, I can do eyes perfectly well but they just get annoying. So I need some suggestions on what the face should look like on the common characters/victims (like in madness how they all have crosses for faces)

glasses, a line, no eyes, white eyes, shadow (if wearing hat)

get creative, you could only show the back of a person?

hmm, i tried a line before but im not so sure how well it wud work out with originality seeing that madness is just an extra line to be technical...white eyes was taken by thing-thing.
but thans for the ideas

Thats hardly necessary, the head is just a square with a grey fill, and the body is the same, but smaller, and with a darker grey fill. The feet are...well drawn and curved blocks. The only time consuming part of the the characters are the hands, guns and blood.

well id say with the detail you have put into the head and body put the same amount of time into the eyes

Oops, I meant to say circle for head. But anyway Ill get a picture if you must.
this is the protagonist so his eyes are white, not light grey

i dont understand, which is the original?

I played the one on ng, Its okay, Its to hard in a frustrating sense, you move to slow, plus you needa a little animation to play on the ship when you hit something that hurts you, i didnt realise i was getting hurt until i was almost dead, and i wasnt sure what could kill me and what couldnt.

the 2006 was the original space vouyer i made it as one of my first attempts at flash and i thought what can i do now.. so i decided to redo it and try to make it better and different :P
