Wow, all very good art. But you use too many gradients, especially on the NaziAmericanOfficer guy. I mean, it's okay to use gradients, but don't make the contrast between the colours too great (e.g black --gradient--> white)

He's right, gradients are fine and all but you can't make them really obvious otherwise it looks really tacky.

Try doing the tone with just two colours or 3 gradients are really necessary.

Sure they save a lot of time but its not worth it really.
