Ok, so I recently got this pm saying that XPO games would like me to join. It said that it was like a portal, and they said I would get 50% of the money from the ads that are on the same page as my game. It said that they checked my submissions and decided they would be honored to have me on there site. So this is why I'm wondering if it is a scam, all of my submissions suck! So right now I am wondering if its a site to steal swfs or something? Maybe I'm making too much of this...but whatever lol

Here is what they sent me:
Dear Ng-unit,

XPOGames.com is a new, gigantic community-website that pledges to dominate the casual gaming world in the near future. XPOGames offers a wide variety of casual games of all genres, for all ages and interests and is sharing revenues with developers like yourself.
We've been advised to contact you by people who've seen your work (on here) and appreciated it. We wanted to offer you to use XPOGames as a platform for your games because we think you have potential to make the next hit in the casual games world, as well as growing revenues from the games you've already developed.

As XPOGames' webmaster, I'd like to personally invite you to create a co-operation and join our site.

So, first things first, we're on the verge of going online. At the moment, we offer a previous version of the website, @ our domain - a kind of playground for our current members, as we verify the development of the new website. Meanwhile, we posted a contest you can enter and get a chance to win a Nintendo Wii(tm) system and/or a console games package worth approx. $1000.

By the way, if there is anything I can elaborate on, anything I can help you with, don't hesitate to mail me at info@xpogames.com - available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Down to business, here is what you get:

Revenue Sharing - We equally split (50%-50%) all advertisement profits from the Google AdSense programs on your games' pages with you and we also hold special events/contests where you can win expensive, luxurious prizes and/or cash money as a chosen developer by the website's community.

Exposure - as a developer on our website, you will expose your creations to thousands of casual gamers, everyday. You will also be able to discuss your games with them. XPO will give you the tools to fine-tune your developments in real-time!

Job opportunities - XPOGames.com houses some of the world's leading casual & video gaming companies - checking its content for potential developers to join their ranks. That means - great games can get you a great work place.

As a game developer, XPOGames.com offers you more exposure & profit! Yes, with the amount of contests and our revenue sharing plan, you have endless possibilities to earn much more rating, credit and money for the work you've done.

We will offer you all the tools needed in order to create your game and have it seamlessly flow into our website. Our community also attracts large amounts of casual gamers to play and comment on your games - whether they'll be testing or enjoying a final release. The connection that's built between developers and their fans is down-to-earth and always available. This is extremely useful for you, the developer, as you will be able to receive constructive criticism, ask other developers for help or help others at any given time.

In addition, Our groups system allows you to stack up with other developers/audio-producers/graphic-desig ners and form your own development group to create the ultimate game.

I hope this mail clears-up some information you needed to get started and, hopefully, it gave you a perspective about our website and the contest.
Be sure to check out the contest page to get the rest of the info you need.

We'll be launching on March, 2008 so don't forget to visit often, join and start earning.
Don't worry though, once you sign-up for the contest and upload your game, we will make sure to notify you when the new website goes live - So you don't have to jump-in everyyy day :)

Cya on the gamefloor! and thanks in advance,
Omri Komashov

i got the same message.

don't know if it is the real deal... i only have one game and it isn't that great,

but i also don't know how my country's laws are about making money with games when it is not my occupation so i told them that i had to research that.

Programming is a race between software engineers building bigger and better programs, and the Universe producing bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning.

Just wait, I got it too. I'm going to see if he will do a real sponsorship or just try and bullshit me out of it. He changed the names for everyone, and it's not real, but let's just see what happens. Wait till the real site's up.

What do you mean he changed the names? And I'm doubting its a real sponsorship.

I mean he changed the names in each letter, so:
Dear_______,

**Average Letter**

-From XPO Games

And lets say he sent it to me, he would write El-Presidente, but Copy & Paste the whole letter.

And if your going to wait till the real site is up, your going to be waiting till march

I'm not actually going to give him any games though...it doesn't look too realistic or credible.

It looks like a pretty cool site, but then I got to the part where the swf is located and realized that the swf's will load into the same size stage area, meaning that any size swf will scale to the same swf area. If you have a swf file outside the normal 550x400, it may not appear correctly.

I got this email as well, decided to pass.

I've been in touch with site contest team and they where very clear and honest with me.

I never new there was real money in Flash games until I've heard about sponsorships and text ads.
It's funny how visual programing language for web pages (AK Flash+ActionScript), became a great developing platform for online casual games.

I think that as many opportunities as we can get - we should grab and hold tight. Xpo told me (as written in the term and conditions small letters which nobody - except me - reads) there's revenue sharing program, associated somehow with Google Adsense program which suppose to be number one program (ever) in meters of - monetize online properties/affiliation programs/business establishment etc. (AKA - online money making).

Together with a promise that in a (currently) secret mode, the game container will be adjust itself to the developers needs, sounds to me that this is a really new area in games communities. As Flash developers we tend to think about the game itself, but I see games and/or Flash parts, as part of a BIG puzzle. We can supply the content for what should be the next big thing in the web, and it's the gaming industry.

According to many researches, the gaming industry is growing in an amazing pace. It's (really amazing) even growing faster then....the INTERNET ITSELF!!!
So if you ask me, I support as many efforts as someone puts in order to take us - Flash developers - 'inside the game' as professionals and entertainment suppliers.

As for the email some of us got - I asked and got reply - yes, they have been addressing the developers out there, asking to 'be part of the game' as their title says. The site itself has become trendy and in a few weeks - new version - something really unique. I hope it'll also be a great business modal for developers and I just think, maaaaannnn...if I'm dreaming...I don't want to wake up!

I don't really doubt it's "legitity" but I do think that it won't be as good as some of the others. I bet if you won the contest he would pay you, and if they start sponsorships he would too, but it just wouldn't be as money friendly as some others.

You can be 100% that they'll pay. It's a new buzz site, named www.xpogames.com aiming to combine the social network trend with the power of games developers like you guys.

It's not about Adobe Flash or Games community it's about a whole social network - gamers, casual gamers, games developers & companies, games sounds creators, drawing masters etc.

If you had the chance to create the first and basic YouTube videos, and get paid (revenue sharing, cash money contest, sponsers etc.) for them.

Would you scream "SPAMMMM" or start shooting & uploading? ...

Just think about it...

By looking at his join date, I'd say he is either Jesus or Santa Claus. But the name does refer to a female...so it's either tranny Jesus or tranny Santa Claus.
