Yeah, the thing that irritates me most are the underaged kids posting +1 topics and posts. The number of underaged users is just apalling.

I've lurked the bbs for quite a while (I didn't feel the need to make an account until recently or post 6908345 times as you can see by my number of posts), and I've seen the problems you've talked about. I completely agree with you Ashford. There are too many extremely unfunny and unoriginal posts about shit like some kid having relationship problems that go unlocked, and too many funny threads that mods decide to lock and delete. I don't understand why people even ask Newgrounds for advice...you're just going to get made fun of and told stupid shit anyways. Also, the Zerok and ron having a kid comment was really funny and true. :/

The kids who post youtube videos and say "LOL LEWK AT THIS" threads.

I've started spending more time in C&C lately. It's because whenever I come to General, I can barely find something decent to post in anymore. I don't have an interest in what you think about which internet browser is better or what you did in a class at school.

BBS needs to be less self centered IMO and more about trying to entertain others. Too bad we have trouble doing that.

This is such a mediocre forum. You'd think a forum with dozens of mods and a clear outline of the rules wouldn't suck so much. But no, all that did was send us into a horrific state of mediocrity. People are rarely funny, or interesting. The only thing that ever gets discussed is video games and everything else that can actually be discussed just ends up as a shouting match. I hate it.

I see so many threads about what some punk did during his day. How he pwned this bully at school, or how he can't get a girlfriend or who the fuck cares what else. The userbase as a whole is so horrifically dull. the irony

Can we talk about a cool old game that we enjoyed? Can we talk about Chowder or Avatar or some cool new anime? Maybe you guys found a cool website that you'd like to share?

The most obvious solution would be too obvious and not accepted.

I agree they shouldn't show your stats on the forum. People just use them as an insult when they're losing an argument or are emotionally affected.

I propose something I call "warning bans" to be given to users who make minor infractions. Like when someone posts "lol, fag" or uses and old meme, they would receive 30 minute ban. And maybe 10 minute bans for just posting a one word response to get a +1 post, reducing it to 6 posts per hour for people who post lazily to add to their count.

I think it would help with stat whoring. But I'm sure it has its flaws. Feel free to point them out.
