Oh God, I love this topic idea, because I listen to that type of music. I already have a few ideas on what I'm going to do. Gonna sketch it out over the weekend, finish it up with PS Elements. I better bring out the tutorials on women for this one.

I've been looking at this contest for a few days. But with all the reference images I would need, and just drawing it would be really awkward to do in front of my family.

that's neat, though the snout-like face makes he look a lot like an alien and not much like a hot chick, but anything goes so I don't care.
Yeah maybe puff those boobs a little by making the waist thinner. You don't have to re-draw it or nothing, just select the torso area with the lasso and scale it down a little.

Shit. This is the hardest (pun totally intended, maybe) art contest I've ever done. I've got my woman sketched and I started doing a solid line version, but then I remembered that this is going for photorealistic, so I don't even know where to begin with this. I'd never done anything photorealistic in Photoshop, so I've never learned these damned skills. I wonder if Poxflower (see what I did there? I swapped out "power" for "flower" because its symbolism is opposite of what power generally symbolizes. I used this to suggest that Poxpower is, in fact, not powerful. This is, of course, in good humor and don't intend to be taken in offense.) could show off a progression from sketch to completion on a bit like an arm or something.

Well you don't have to be all like painty and whatnot just trying to get people to not make flash-like hyper-cartoony things.

I mean if you can do something like a super hero or whatever, that's fine, even if it has black outlines and whatnot, but Anime-style, that's more iffy, though I imagine it could work if you put enough texturing in the bg and accessories and whatnot.

Wicked idea for a contest. I am going to give it a good go. I like the idea of photoshopping/drawing one, as in take an existing picture, make her naked and put her in a dragons mouth or somethin.

you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a real life model in a dynamic pose.

so Im just gonna have to make the pose from scratch and pic a face and a color tone closely matches.

The only thing is that I assume the reference photo to be nearly identical, only with the added bits of cloth and the sword, because those parts don't look very good. I'm guessing you didn't mix it up too much.

Her hands are a bit small. Her boobs are a bit non-realistic, it's like she has no ribcage. the sword looks a little 2D, so does some parts of clothing where you can see you added. Can we see your reference pic?

KupaMan & Lamoureux...I appreciate your comments...the only thing that's really finished is her face...I did go along with the overall shading of the reference which was also lit from the back but I did and add some of my own highlights shadows...I will post a link to the reference when I find it again...the hands are driving me crazy I know they are a little off...but like it I said in the post there it's a work in progress...
