I'm a new account (for showcasing music) but an old newgrounds-er
Is it still the case that first submissions won't get played?

I just uploaded the first track of my E.P., which i consider my favorite.. :/ bummer.

I tried a different browser (was using Firefox but switched to IE) and the upload went through. Don't know what wrong with my Firefox but I'm glad the file went through.

Hi, my friend CalicoCpt has been waiting for approval for about 12 days now. I'd appreciate it if someone could approve him, as he has a bunch of other material he'd like to submit.

He's got about 100 people in front of him waiting to be approved. Patience please. He can continue submitting 2 songs a day regardless of approval if he really wants to. Although I would advise against it because by the time he's approved they wont be on the recent submissions list anymore.

Is he incapable of asking here himself? Whether it should not, seeing a "can you approve my 'friend'" post always sends up a red flag.

Anyway, I listened to Calico's submissions; I would appreciate it if you could ask him to send me a PM detailing what software and VSTs/soundfonts he used.

Hello, I'm new here and i'm sorry if i post in a wrong theard [ since i'm not really got in " forum " thingy ] .
About last month [ i think...] i sign up for newground new account also I send a techno/trance song [ no remix, 100% made by me] , and i've read say that : -

" If this is your first time contributing to the Audio Portal, you will have to be approved before your submissions are made available publicly (this may take a week or two depending on the amount of applicants in our queue)."

Okey, i have no problem with that But then after 2 week still no news about my song, then i tired send again [ still with the same song].Then same thing happen...still no news, Actually i wanna know how much long i have to waiting for my song to be approve?? 2 week? 1 month??.......... i'm tired.....

Hi, I sent a PM to you and I saw that you responded to the post before me. I was wondering if I would be verified any time soon, seeing as you already listened to my music?

The vocals I used came on the program. I'm not really sure if that makes it alright to use, i would have to assume so, though.

Another mod and I conferred and we believed the vocals to be against the Audio Portal terms of service. If you can prove to us that the samples you used are under Creative Commons and are not copyrighted, then we may be able to work with you to resolve this issue.

However, the easiest course of action would simply be to remove the vocals, create a new account, and upload it again. (I listened to your tracks, and those vocals were really the only problem,)

Hi, so its been almost 3 weeks since i posted my track. i was wondering whats going on. i know for a fact there is nothing on it that would get me banned. It was a remix, but a remix of someone here on newgrounds, where there should be no limitation of usage of the track. everything else was handmade by myself, even down to the drum samples. So please can anyone give me some info on why it hasnt been approved yet? Maybe because of the SOPA thing, and the redesign coming up? not sure, any info would be great. Thanks.

Because we're busy people :P That's really it. There are a couple hundred submissions to go through, and audio mods all work on a volunteer basis.

I was just wondering , i submitted audio submission if i remember correctly sometime in October , it was a megaman x vs zero remix that happen to be made by an error of a project i was working , so i was just wondering if it has been rejected or it hasn't been validated yet , if i have to wait i can , like i said i was just wondering , thank you.

Sorry -- looks like you've been banned. The mod who did this will be able to tell you why, but it sounds like either suspected copyright infringement (use of the original recordings of the tracks) or a MIDI rip.

so if i went to the audio portal and clicked submit will it say i've been banned , or does it say that when i click submit on the audio portal and fill out the details for new audios i decide to make and click submit?

oh ok , i was just wondering thanks for the information , i thought i wouldn't have problems since the audio submission i submitted was made by error / accident.

So yesterday i made a page for my new band The CoastGuards, uploaded a song and posted some info on the page. Today i tried to login and it said cant find the user. So i would like to know what has happened, is it not allowed to make a band page ?

Are you sure that's the right username? According to the mod panel, TheCoastGuards, CoastGuards, and The CoastGuards are all nonexistent usernames.
