What do you think about cosmetic surgery?

My views on it are quite.......muffled.

Plastic surgery is fine for women. On men however, It's just kinda creepy.

Didn't you make a thread before about you wondering if you should get it? Didn't you see many viewpoints in that thread?

Depends on the reasons. A horrific car accident victim may want to get a fake bit of head to keep his brain in...

Yeah I would like to know too. It seems kind of sexist.

I don't like it. It's all un-natural and things can go wrong.

Unless it's actually fixing some sort of deformity (like the scares from a car crash), then it's just a useless procedure for insecure people to make themselves look plastic pretty.

I'm all for plastic surgery. I'm going to get some if Jordy ever breaks up with me. Just make sure you get a board certified doctor because the consequences of plastic surgery gone awry are really awful.

Have you had it before?

I really don't recommend it, I should have stated in my last post how excruciating recovery is, Although im for it for people born with or have deformities like I did, It wont make Jordy take you back if anything were to happen. I don't wanna sound like an ass but I will personally show you pictures of what I had to go through after the surgery I had 2 summers ago.

It's not worth it for people who don't have real problems.

i think its just for insecure people who think they need to change their god given looks to be more acceptable.

Except for people with deformities and bad scars of course

I don't like it. I think it's unnatural and a desecration the body unless it's corrective in nature.

And... sometimes it it just makes people look like fucking freaks.

Case in point.

Plastic surgery?

Yay, Obama won. Let's thank his supporters:
-The compliant mainstream media for their pro-Obama propaganda.
-Black Panthers for their intimidation of voters.

We're living in a very social world these days where people are so vain and self centered on their own apparence they spend thousands on cosmetic make up and clothes.

And I'm not just talking about the woman either.

Oh fucking hell I fit that catagory!! YAY FOR ME!!

I haven't had SURGERY but I've had cosmetic procedures like microdermabrasion, braces, accutane. It wouldn't make him take me back, that wouldn't be the point, I have two insecurites on my chest that I would feel a whole lot better about with some sprucing, but Jordy likes me the way I am.

What was your recovery like? In terms of weeks of recovery, did you have any complications? Did insurance cover it?

I think its ok if you got like disfigured in an accident or something, but it's extremely fucking shallow for (most) cosmetic reasons.

It should only be used when it is needed.

Ah well that might not be so bad :P

It was terrible, my face was swollen yellow and purple, and i had plugs stuffed so far up my nostrils I could feel it going down my throat. I couldnt sleep the night in the recovery room, and I couldnt sleep when i got home.

It took 1 week for the swelling to go down, another week I got the plugs out, about a month the blood in my eyes went away as well as the yellow and purple. But I had two black eyes for several more months. Then a year later I got the feeling back in my nose.

Yes insurance covered it.
