Yes, I think it should be legal. But as long as people can grow it hydroponically in their basements, and the government can't tax it, it will remain illegal.

Well if the goverment does tax it there will be no need for people to buy it from dealers and thus no reason for them to grow it(except for personal use) but if it is still a problem, and it will be, it can be illegal to grow or sell it unless you have a license of some sort

Legal, as in you can buy it at any grocery store or gas station along with a pack of Marlboros? Not in our lifetime, my friend. Most Americans would probably rank it up there with cocain, heroine, or ecstacy in terms of being a danger to society (I have no hard facts to prove that opinion though so I may be wrong). Some states may have more people willing to admit that it has some worthwhile medical uses, but that's a far, far cry from making it a legal substance. Is there a giant conspiracy by the govenment and "big tobacco" to label it dangerous? Damned if I know, but that's the view and I don't see it changing dramatically anytime soon.

It should be legalised. The two main problems of marijuana that the government tell us are that dealers can lace it with other drugs, and that being in contact with a dealer can tempt you into trying harder drugs. Legalisation would help solve both these problems; if it were legal, there'd be no harder drugs being added to the weed. And, legalisation breaks the link between dealer and user, so acquiring harder drugs would be much... harder, if you like.

It always annoyed me that hemp was banned, as it serves many purposes in clothing and paper manufacturing. As for weed... Eh. I guess, since the taxes will help the economy and since weed is "safer" than cigarettes. It'll also limit illegal drug flow, I suppose.

Legal, but heavily regulated, I'd say. If you ban something, people will find illegal ways to acquire it. It's best to let them have it, but at a price, and with rules.

I doubt car crashes would rise because of weed because people already drive while high and when you compare deaths from weed to deaths from alcohol its clear which is worse.
