I imagine the notion that it's squeaky comes from the idea that it's supposed to be made with curd - a really oily, squeaky cheese - but it's usually not since curd is way expensive and most people seem content to cheddar.

Luis/Afro's hotel isn't mentioned more specifically than that in this thread, the hotel pox linked to is "a couple blocks away" from his house, the restaurant isn't going to have familiar people nearby for another 30 hours or so, and I think that's it.

Have a good flight! Expect cold weather later on once you get here though... It's started snowing in Hamilton and it's gotten cold again compared to the balmy 3 or 4 degree weather we've been having.

3 Brasseurs isn't that kind of establishment. It's a nice-looking bar (in the hardwood-floor sense), the waitresses dress in white blouses and black miniskirts, and they have neat menus. I've seen people in all sorts of dress over there - it's more of a beer place than a mixed-drink place. Feel free to be comfortable :)

Unfortunately, since apparently my religious father needs family over for the holiday on Saturday evening, I shall not be staying for Saturday night.

I am leaving sometime tomorrow, and will partake in the festivities.

If anyone can give me a few feet of horizontal space in their home/hotel, it would be much obliged at the end of the night.

If any of you fucks are floating around Montreal mid day, like, around 3-4PM and would like to NOT take advantage of a really confused tourist, It'd be cool if we could catch each other or something. I don't know where any of the subways lead to, and frankly, I'll be lost half the day trying to find where the fuck I've said I'll park my van. So, yeah...some friendly faces, or at least usernames would be nice.

Jonas is like 3 minutes away from picking me up... We've got like a 5-7 hour drive ahead of us, depending on things.
