hotel "policy" says it costs 20$ per person per night extra (past one person). but like luis said as long as we check in by ourself and then bring back people later we should be fine.

I'd be willing to hand you $20 if I can get a hotel for the night, i mean, after bar prices i'd have already spent enough as it is, anything is better than pulling out the debit card for some skeezy hotel that's not worth the $130 it charges per night. (general ranting about hotels, I don't know crap about the hotel you're staying in)

but seriously, is anyone who knows where this place is who has a hotel room or a house or whatnot I can meet them at like an hour before so I can at least ditch my van? I can't stand city driving, and "parking on the street" is all fine and dandy if you have a minivan which is still possible to parallel park if for some reason shit gets busy on the street, but I have a full size van and the thing can barely park in my apartment building's parking lot.

Hahaha - with all the snow in montreal and terrible snow clearing, you must definitely will NOT be able to park downtown. You can park in front of my place for the weekend. I doubt they will be doing construction work then (they are building houses around here). Which day are you coming up? But then you will have to pay for the metro to get downtown...
