Regarding "Best Tracks Ever"

What keeps newly submitted songs with 1 vote of 5 from being on the Best Tracks Ever?
How old does a song have to be? Is there a minimum amount of votes as well?

Just wondering how it works.

There's a minimum number of votes that a song has to have before it gets on there, it doesn't matter how old it is. I'm not sure how many votes it takes though, maybe around 20-30. But that's just a guess.

I believe the song has to have over 50 votes about 50+ downloads and over a hundred listens. The score of the song also has to have a 4.49 or better i think.

I'm not 100% sure about that...but I think it's pretty close to those specifications.

Yeah, it'd be more than 20-30, that's for the weekly top 5.
Also, is there an age limit, because otherwise, they'd probably have a whole pile of old songs by paragonX9 on the list...

Your song needs at least 20 votes to be accounted for in the rankings. And the Top 30 is never updated until Wednesday (12:00 AM EST I assume?)

Well yeah I know. All I said is I have a chance maybe but I doubt it. I don't make trance or techno. I could though and would probably get a best track.

you can only get on the top five if you song is at the most a week or 2 old - otherwise it won't get on ever again.

That won't stop your songs from being in the top 50 though. I am not sure what constitutes the criteria for that - a high score seems to help - not sure about downloads or listens though.

this is what happens when a song isnt taken off the top 50 for 3 months - anyone remember last summer? Ya. Kind of sad.
