If you mean like the highways made out of concrete and cement, then why not.
Could be fun, probably painful though.

And now for today's entertainment.

SIGNS, a short film which won at Cannes this year.
It's a classic 'boy meets girl' tale, but with a... communicational twist.

This should start your day off well or otherwise brighten it :)

where do you find these, this as amazing, pure amazing.
for a short film, I was truly in sync with the male character. I truly wanted him to succeed . I saw my self about half way threw actually setting up and truly focusing on the film. (in my inebriated state it was more challenging than usual.) a truly good piece
thank you for the entertainment

Oh, I don't mind.

Amazing blend of 2D and 3D. Even though you can't see their faces the characters have so much... character.
There's a point and click game here on NG which I think borrows a lot from that particular look, Little Wheel I believe.

Ooo I love that film, I saw it on some compilation of animated shorts awhile back. Pretty sure it was my favorite on the disc.

While we're on an animation kick, here's a really cool one I found while cruising the internet on stumpleupon. Every frame of it is a separate painting, I can't even imagine how long it would have taken.

remember screencaps people!

Just thought I'd share this with all my artistic friends. A very talented artist is giving free tutorials/classes through facebook on how to paint in photoshop. Anyone can join, and is actually encouraged to. :)

Sorry, I hate to sound like an advert, but I thought some of you may find this useful. :D

That was extremely creative and awesome. I wonder how long it took to do that and how the guy had so much patience to wait for them to redraw every different frame.

I couldn't think of another word so I used frame.

All you need are opinions- what do people not like about your images? Too rough? Smooth them a tad. Weird anatomy? Have a good long look at the form you are trying to replicate, etc.

I haven't ever got critique, but I've improved vastly over time due to just careful observation and keeping drawing. Fuck tutorials, I just watch and learn.

Quality over quantity.

If you can make good stuff, you can make good stuff in numbers. If you can only make numbers, you can only make numbers.

Seeing as your art thread is mostly talk and the art is mostly glorified stick figures, I'd say it does.

Does one have to come to newgrounds for advice on their art? Cannot one, say- show a friend? I'm not saying it's a problem that I haven't got critique. Quite the contrary.

And no offense man, but the capn' ain't an idiot. To be honest, the best image on your latest art thread page is snowman's 'awesome' tingy. Had I the pluck to make an art thread, I wouldn't post anything that isn't a worthy sight to the eye- take your ninja sketch for example, I wouldn't be so bold as to call it something of interest- or even much of an update. You added a sword. Even before it was just a bunch of lines...Y'aint no Da Vinci.
Sorry man, no way to say that without sounding a bastard.

I really dislike seeing the breaker-upper come when the battle is fought. Actually I just flat out loathe 'im, you bast!

I remember at school, I always fucking hated the breaker-upper. Always butting his weedy little hands between two guys trying to settle disputes in a way that has been practised in nature as well as humanity for eons.
