Yes. Yes, it does. I've gotten two from this asshole (see Anime thread) anyone want to try the other one he traced? I know it's not great, but I'm still pretty sure he traced it. He doesn't know enough to make the cloth ride up on the shoulders like that. And the pose is too natural. It's beyond his skill level.

Man, I hate art thievery.

I think he is referring to something more commonly known as an erection.
Although I could use some wood right now, I feel like painting.

Wait. You mean real wood to use as a canvas to paint on? Or do you only paint when you have a raging hard-on?

Or is 'painting' a euphemism.

I was going to make a topic, but I guess this would better go here.

Is it possible to learn how to make good art, This is a serious question. For you see I suck at art, but would really like to learn, and I would like to make flash games, and flash movies using my art skills.

So is it possible for someone with no art skill to become atleast semi good? Or do you have to be born/raised with it?

im sorry but that is quite a stupid question, of course you can develop skill, most of the artists here have improved over there time, everyone has a different starting talent which if you work on it becomes much better, look for tutorials or how to's on youtube or google also heres some links to help ya

It is very much possible to become quite good at art, even if you dont seem to have any talent.
I think learning to make "good" art, means two things;
1) Look at things in an artistic manner
Look at everything you encounter in a different way, what shapes is it made of, how does it reflect light. Do you find it beautifull or not? What makes it beautifull? If you want, do the same with other poeples art. Asking yourself these questions helps you develop an eye for realism/aesthetics and furthermore helps you critique your own drawings.
2) Practice Practice Practice
Its the boring part, I know, but it is important, it is the only way. Especially if you want to use it for animation, you have to learn to get quick, you can`t spend 15 minutes on one single frame.
So good luck learning to draw!

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Everyone has their own preference about what pleases them, and not everyone likes the same things.

Well, one thing I learned in school about things that are supposedly pleasing to the eye is the Golden ratio.
I'd go in to detail about it, but I'm lazy and just woke up. So click the link.
Unrelated, I might have convinced my art teachers (Since we haven't done many drawings/painting in my class as of yet) to do some caricatures as a project.

We're doing plaster molds of our hands, yeah, you know that thing you did in like 2nd grade.

I got some bad news people. My computer died yesterday. The thing just frose all of a sudden and now when I try to start it up then the screen just looks really wierd and nothing else happens. Problem is I don't have any money for repairs, and certainly not any for a new computer. So I will probably not be able to work on the projects I am a part of. I have a freind who will try to have a look at it in a few days, but if he can't fix it then I might be gone for a while.
