Heh. That's a discussion from over 552 pages ago. Neil Gaiman is great though.

Anything around me can make my imagination go crazy. I find it fun to see what kind of personification I can give certain foods (that could be because I am a culinary student). Another thing that I find kind of easy is to think of the punchline before I draw the pictures if I am drawing a "funny" cartoon; coming up with the punchline is probably the hardest part yet once I think of one I can almost immediately come up with a picture for it.
Other artists also inspire me and sometimes even help me break from my comfort zone to try and develop new techniques to my style and tweak it every now and then.

I personally haven't heard of anyone who pays for their Adobe products.
I don't like the sound of paying for software monthly though.

Also for some reason the Student one is USD $4 cheaper if you pay in AUS Dollars!!
You should take advantage of this.

I do, I painstaking recreated the no image icon and posted it as my user Icon. And I painstakingly recreated the image using the power of Imagination and Procrastination.

I see Kongregate are closing down their art and audio sections, so that they can focus on games.
Which I find odd, since the development of this section was a knee-jerk to NG's anouncement of the art portal.

So, basically, they're saying their art and audio sections blow

Hell, I didn't know they had art anything

It reminds me of when Smosh.com had an art/flash portal, back when dinosaurs walked the earth.

That's why you need to flip it constantly while you're painting.

Yeah. I'm figuring that out. I thought I was finished but apparently her mouth is on an angle like it's sliding off her face, her nose is pointing in the wrong direction, her far eye is bulging out of it's socket, and her face is 3 feet wide. It's the worst thing I have ever seen.

Same thing here. But is it possible to make an image look good in both sides?

Also, do any of you guys feel sometimes that you're not able to put in paper something out of your mind? like, you spent so much time making studies and simply exercise sketching that drawing something complelty out of your head becomes dificult... maybe because the techniques you used for training your skillz do not apply to something that has to be made from nothing.... Or maybe because your idea is way too ambitious... or maybe because your idea is way out of the range of stuff you normally draw thus becomming more difficult... or maybe your idea seems to abstract and you actually have half of an idea of what you're doing...

I dont know, but sometimes I feel like I'm not using my mind anymore (that much) when creating something from scratch...

Maybe you're just becoming more conscious of where you draw your inspiration from.

Ever play Mother 2 (Earthbound)? My gut feeling says that you have, but recently I've been obsessed with the Mother series for some reason. So that's all I got haha
