Hello Ozzy welcome to the art forum. And I would say to start out is to male your own art thread, and people will eventually leave feedback. Use the "include picture?" feature so people don't have to go around clicking links and can be lazy :). But yeah don't sit around because it could take awhile for people to respond, just continue to upload the pictures( after making your own thread) and sure enough there will be some feedback. Also the thing about this is to stand out not fitting in if by art you mean.

just look at the first page of the art forum; you could join the Notepad Drawing Collab, or do something for the Weekly Color activity, or joins this awesome shapedrawing thing or the first aids collab.

So hours of work won't open back up in photoshop this is just great. The piece is just somehow not compatible with Photoshop anymore... And the due date is in less than a week now. Anyone know anything about files not opening or not being compatible with the program anymore?

Sometimes, after a crash, the file corrupts and is no longer usable. Its not common, but Almost every artist I know has had it happen to them at least once. Sadly as far as I know, their is nothing you can do. Just cuss about the program, take a short break and start over.

The only prevention advise I can give you is that you can start saving multiple files as you go. That way if one corrupts, you haven't lost more than a few hours of work. But I would only recommend this for bigger projects that take days to complete, or you;ll end up with a lot of random files taking up space.

File corruption is more common to 3D than 2D files, so saving often and multiple saves is like an OCD to 3D artist.

I'm still pissed about that capsule that I lost a couple months ago due to a windows explorer crash.

Yeah I already took the liberty of drawing anew. Yeah I'm quite pissed about it wasn't going to spend more time trying to figure it out because I assumed I'd just be wasting time.. This new one probably won't look nearly as the other one because it's being a little more rushed, who knows the days I might be pretty busy getting the piece in to look a little decent on October 3rd is going to be a challenge.
