Well I have a couple questions for you. How big are the photos you trying to resize? How far are you zoomed in? How are you resizing the photo? (E.g. stretching it, shrinking it, expanding it, etc.)

It's kind of hard to help without details.

There are three pictures. First is 180 by 180, second is 200 by 200, and the third is 250 by 399. The zoom is set at 400%. I'm resizing them by shrinking them.

On the second one's size, I listed the wrong thing. It's size is actually 250 by 339. Everything else is correct. Sorry about that.

No, I've tried that. Even when I zoomed out, it was still pixelated.

Ok then. What dpi (or ppi, I don't remember which Gimp uses) are the photos and the file you're working on? I know Gimp's default resolution is 72 dpi, and if you got the photos from the internet, then they'd probably be at or just above 72 dpi as well. Assuming that, if you make a new file at, say, a resolution of 300 dpi or greater, then shrinking the lower quality photos shouldn't pixelate them quite so much.

Unfortunately, I can't. My desktop has no internet access. I'm using a wireless signal from my ipod touch.

I tried scaling it, and it's only showing a rough, pixelated outline of the image.

D-D-Double post.

I did a couple quick experiments. To fix your problem, you're going to want to work in a high resolution, 600 dpi or greater. The only problem is the file size is going to be a lot bigger than at lower resolution. When you save it, you're going to have to save a a lower quality to lower the file size. You'll have to experiment to see what how low of quality you can save without destroying the file.

Hey guys, Is anyone else having issues with the art portal lately?
I know that their was a glitch in the unscouted section about loading images, but I'm having issues with the actual Portal.
I also know that NG was running slow today, something about the ads or something, but I'm not sure if these two problems are related since I started having this issue a day or so ago.

As for actual description of the issue: I click the Thumbnail, and it starts to load, and then stops leaving nothing but a blank page. The name of the tab isn't the name of the piece like usual either, its the url path.
I tried refreshing and such, but no luck.
I thought this might be like the Unscouted Section Glitch, and went to the artist's page to try and get it to load, but nothing.

What really sucks is this is happening about 3 out of 5 pieces. I'm missing out on some good art too.
:'(

The lag seemed to be cause they were putting up anti adblock ads, which I was getting.
Ironically my adblock doesn't work on newgrounds for some reason.

The art portal thing is a glitch, they are aware of it

The console versions of Duke Nukem Forever are getting trashed in reviews. They really don't like it.

Can't say I'm surprised in the least. Still going to fucking play it and enjoy it, but is anyone here surprised? Show of hands?

That's mostly becuase the 360 version is pretty much the equivalent of a late n64 port.

Because as a whole the Xbox has about the computing power as a retarded toaster

All in all the game was unfortunately and very depressingly "meh". As a standalone shooter it might have been good, and that's pushing the limits a little bit. It has a lot of problems for a shooter game, and for one that's attempting to live up to Duke Nukem's wake, it was basically a mistake everyone would like to forget.

Speaking of franchises that leech on your nostalgia instead of being inventive or interesting, a developer (Telltale) should buy the rights to make a new Putt Putt or Freddie Fish game. Or even a cross-over.

You know you would buy it.
