Yeah I noticed a similar problem to what legolass described on a few different artists, where they appear under the unscouted list, but when I check, they are scouted anyways....

To adjust the Pixels Per Inch (PPI), go to Image > Image Size. There you can adjust width, height, and resolution.

Secondly, you are mixing up DPI (Dots Per Inch) and Pixels Per Inch. DPI is relevant only in scanning and printing, either how many points sampled per inch, or how much dots per square inch in print. PPI is the number of pixels per inch in your image, affecting quality/detail of output.

This happened to me for awhile. If you submit something new it should be listed as scouted. I don't know for sure how it was fixed, but about three days later I noticed the person who scouted me was different. That being said, I'm guessing that the only way to fix the problem is to become unscouted again.

yeah same with Mrew, Xartez, Leema-k, krazykartoons, mizzomuffin and a few more have the same problem... in all fairness i scouted mrew and xartez first and when someone up the line screwed up we all got unscouted... i only having 1 picture uploaded was scouted AFTER the rest were scouted... and now im scouted again... athough all seemed fine within the first few days but now this :(... very strange indeed...

athough my theary worked... have a boob thumb-nail and you will get onto the first page on views (if you dont include adult) :P

I know photos aren't allowed in the Art Portal, but what about photo-manipulations such as this, or something else?

Well it's my understanding that photo-manipulation is still no no in the portal. However i know personally I leave them alone if they are EXTREMELY well done and artistic. So the one you posted for example i would delete.

Hey everyone im kinda new at newgrounds and the reason i joined was just to really coment on bunnykill4 but seance there was an art portal i thought i might submit some fan art

after the M-BOT unscout / rescout i seem to be working now... same cant be said for a few other users in the art portal... for example of the top of my head Mrew has a similar problem... hope the whole thing can be sorted out :S

No, but you did post in the wrong place. The Lounge isn't really for posting personal art for the sake of showing people your art. I'm sure if you use the search bar and look hard enough that there is a thread already for Bunnykill fanart, and you can post it in there.

If you want a thread just to post your art, than you're more than welcome to make yourself a showcase thread. Also be sure to check out Newgrounds brand spankin new Art Portal. You can post your art on your userpage, and if it's good enough someone will scout you and then your art will be in the Portal for everyone to see and bask in your glory!

Ok, in that case then, do you have any tips for how to be better at photoshopping?
Because I thought the one I posted was OK, but apparently, it doesn't seem to be, how can I improve on these? I'm using PS 2.0, so it's fairly difficult to do so, but I would still like some feedback on improvement.

personly... i would say nearly all photoshoping is agaist the rules seen as you didnt actuly draw anything... i would like to see what IS aproved by photoshoping standards for the art portal... but in my eyes photoshoping is just a way of warping / modifying a existing picture... not creating one from scratch... so please would some one post a photoshop picture that would be alowed in the art portal?

Im sad to say that i've lost the will to go the art forum since the portal, it feels like its lost its engery.

Still, i've kind of got bored at the portal aswell, since the flow of images and voters has dropped.

Can you relate to this?

Maybe if you took a number of photo's yourself an manipulated them all together Extremely well into something that looked 100% real.

I sure can. But take into account that lately there has been a lot of things going on, and people are a little fatiqued. And it is summer time. That sure changes my prioitys a bit. Once tings have settled a bit then people will come back with new energy :D

Photo's are against the rule, and photo-manipulation is doubly against the rule because 9 times our of 10 you did not take the photographs you're manipulating yourself. If it looked like you probably took the photo's yourself, and that the piece was thought out and artistic (not putting celebrities heads on animals/plants) than i'd probably let it slide, and a different mod could delete it if they really wanted to.

does it stay in deleted art forever or does the system clean that out after awhile?
