I can't even name them. It would seriously have to be limited to "random pieces of art I find cool" and "gaming".

C. How long have you been doing art?

I lost count.

D. Has your style changed completely since then? If yes, what was it before?

I no longer draw stick figures. It's a pretty cool step up.

Layers and refining are basically it. Brush and Eraser tools are all that you need, and while there may be a few little tricks out there to further the cleanliness of a line (sharpen and the like) the majority of it is simply refining what you've got by cleaning it up.

A. What would you classify your style of art?

a mix of cartoony anatomy and proportions and digital painting colouring

B. Top Five inspirations?

i dont know many big artists out there, because i never really look into it, only one i could list i guess is the guy who inspired me to get into the style im in now, jesse mcgibney
on ng, guess i could list most of the art forum, rhunyc, awesomesaurus, toas to name the ones closer to what im aiming for with my work, before that it was vero and nae, because i wanted to do cartoony stuff instead of painting

C. How long have you been doing art?

serious art, just over a year, before that doodling in class, not really caring about what im doing, 3 or 4 years, never kept any of em, they were just time wasters

D. Has your style changed completely since then? If yes, what was it before?

yes used to be cartoons trying to get the smoothest and cleanest lineart possible and then not caring about the colours and shading, and before that it used to be big square heads, huge anime eyes, essentially stick bodies and lines for mouths......i dont even wanna remember

Okay then mate, I'll this a shot.

A. What would you classify your style of art?

I would classify myself as a novice.

B. Top Five inspirations?

1. One is that I like to draw. It has been my hobby and passion
2. I always get many thoughts and ideas I can express in drawing or sometimes writing.
3. The drive for me to get better at it.
4. The very lovely who surround me in both internet and real life.
5. Maybe profit?

C. How long have you been doing art?

If your asking how long I've been drawing is I started when I was somewhere 8 or 9. I can't remember clearly. But I've only started coloring in digital about last year when I first joined here.

D. Has your style changed completely since then? If yes, what was it before?

Yeah, it has very dramatically changed over the past year. To give an idea, here's my First Art Thread I made before my Current Art Thread. SO yeah you'll be the judge.

At 11/30/10 07:09 PM, Knocturne wrote: A. What would you classify your style of art?

Psychologically disturbed mutant branching anime offspring.

B. Top Five inspirations?

Caravaggio. Other than that, I don't like 'looking up to people' as douchebaggy as that may sound. I'd justify this with something along the lines of 'you can't be number one if there's someone in front of you' or some nonsensical bullshit like that.

C. How long have you been doing art?

Drawing for as long as I could. Legitimate 'art' probably 2-3 years.

D. Has your style changed completely since then? If yes, what was it before?

Yes. Before I was horrible. Now I'm semi-horrible.

Just a completely unnecessary heads up, I'm going to attempt to post a heap more because I've been really... lacking in contributing anywhere other than my own art thread. So yeah, sup.

You should so make a thread for this, so it's easier to find and it'll all be in one place.

A. What would you classify your style of art?

Cartoon-like, partially-Abstract?

B. Top Five inspirations?

HarraH, Catoblepas, nathMilburn, Chris Riddel.. those are the only people I can think of who have been major influences/inspirations over the past year and a bit. Other things are old cartoons, random street artists and many assorted artists (Flash artists mostly) from around NG and other places.

C. How long have you been doing art?

The first art i ever did was about 13-14 years ago when I had 4 years and I drew weird goomba like people and insect things in picture books that you were meant to find and there was like one on each page. I only feel that I started doing actual art about a year ago. Before then I drew highly referenced pokemon, drew bad random things not very regularly, made up crappy designs for a gaming console including bad games, drew maps that were completely based off of the map in Lord of the Rings and made a few comics which are now pretty funny to look back at.

D. Has your style changed completely since then? If yes, what was it before?

It has changed just slowly/subtley. I can do a lot more now than I could a year ago.

A. What would you classify your style of art?

I guess I've been trying to do a sort of manga style, but I fail horribly at it. My surreal shit is exponentially better, in my mind.
B. Top Five inspirations?

Dali, Magritte, Japanese comic books + Video games. Yes I am a massive dork, why do you ask?

C. How long have you been doing art?

Started actually trying around 7th grade. Which I suppose would put me at being about 12, so around 4 years.

D. Has your style changed completely since then? If yes, what was it before?

It's gone from total unquestionable shit to slightly more well made crap.

Enough of things nobody really cares about.

This thing looks awesome.

I have nothing to say that is at all relevant.

D. Has your style changed completely since then? If yes, what was it before?

For the most part I used to draw basically stick figures and Jhonen Vasquez-esque doodles. Around junior year of high school I started drawing like the way I do now, and have just been improving upon that style since.

Well I think it'd be good if someone did and perhaps added a few more questions and then tried to get other artists who don't visit the art forum much/at-all to answer the questions, it would/could be a really interesting/useful thread.

Figured I'd do this too ...

A. What would you classify your style of art?
I tend to try out all kinds of "styles". I don't really have any comfort zone that I feel I control, but if I had to say anything, It'd be something between digital painting and cartoon.

B. Top Five inspirations?
Haven't really got any defined inspiration. It would just be random internet artists that I've stumbled upon.
That and a handful from the community.

C. How long have you been doing art?
Started serious less than a year ago I believe.

D. Has your style changed completely since then? If yes, what was it before?
I don't even know. I suppose it used to be a lot more rubbish lines and downright ugly drawings. Now it's more like semi-ugly.

C. How long have you been doing art?

On and off as long as I can remember.

D. Has your style changed completely since then? If yes, what was it before?

I think my style changes all the time. But I have become better at also changeing my subject. I don't don't know if that is good or bad though.
