Oh yeah! Turtles are awesome. You need to boil the out of their shell to get to their meat. I heard they taste like crabs or something.

The animal's sort of like a gopher, I think. Not in taste, but in the fact that it only exists because it's annoying, reproduces at a massive rate, and it needs to be killed.

What kind of turtle is this?

I wouldn't have thought turtles had much meat on them, not in the shell, at least.

Alligator? That's very very weird. Even for me. Is there any meat at all? I heard crocs and gators are mostly consist of hard bone and muscle.

well, i live in florida, so that would explain it. since there is only so many places crocs and gators live
and well, considering the predator an alligator is, yes its pretty much muscle and bone and badass. but when you go out to a resteraunt/bar and order gator, you usually get what looks like chicken strips. breaded and deep friend in all-american goodness. and, of what i know of, you are only suppposed to eat the tail.

Alligators and lizards store most of their fat in their tails, and when food runs out they can live off of the stored energy. Most of the fatty meat you'll get from lizards and gators is gonna be in their tails.

I've spent a lot of time in Florida, and I actually live there now. I've never had Gator. I haven't seen it sold anywhere in the Jacksonville area. I'm intrigued, though.
I imagine it would be found more around the Everglades and rural Florida, though.

well, yes, it would also depend on where you go, i would think
but i would say that around orlando and north they probably dont sell it
but once you start getting into central-south florida you'll see it in plenty of bars, and seafood-themed restaraunts are sure to have it.
next time you go to north florida, and you are gonna have some dinner at a seafood restarant, be sure to check though. it makes a great appetizer :P

not like i would know whether the bars would have it o.o or would i?

Yes.

Guidelines:

Start with a picture: your own art.
This picture shouldn't be half-assed: Nothing that took 5 minutes for your opening one, preferably half an hour.
Don't trace and not mention it, this pisses a lot of people off.

Also, the picture size limit is 599x700. Use at least half of that, the bigger something is, the easier it is for people to look at. Just make sure it isn't tiny like 100X100.

But don't inflate pictures.

I have nothing to say that is at all relevant.

Hey, I got told to come here.
Does anyone know of any step by step guides to making some of the art on newgrounds. I've seen a lot of really inspiring digital art here but dont know how to go about making them. Just want to know the steps that people use and the programs that people use.
Thanx

Do you mean actual art? I mean imitating one's work? You know, like those how draw tutorials. I don't know any step by step tutorials, but I know art101 has helpful tips in his newspost. Other than that, I think you can only get better by developing your own style.

So what do you all think of this Wikileaks crap?

I'm going to assume you all already know about this, since it's been going on for, what, a month now?

Personally, I think the Wikileaks guy is being a real bastard about this situation. Preaching freedom of the press doesn't justify publishing secret documents for a conflict that is still going on. If they were secret documents about, say, the Falklands War or fucking Desert Storm, whatever, but this guy's being careless and stupid. Wikileaks can proofread and check all it wants to avoid harm to people, but ultimately, it's going to fail and somebody will end up dead, and it will be entirely their fault for failing to recognize that top secret shit is top secret for a good reason. Want to prevent damage and injury, shitheads? How about not adding on to the damage you've already caused?

What I foresee is a bunch of assholes extracting every negative thing from the documents and whining about typical concepts that most civilians don't get about warfare, such as that nothing goes perfectly, errors happen, civilians get killed, information isn't processed correctly, war is constantly changing and it takes more than an instant to adapt, and finally, that pulling out in a time that even resembles soon would render the sacrifices of those who have died or have sustained a permanent would, the trillions of dollars gone into the cesspool a complete fucking waste of time.

Honestly, does anybody know how long soldiers were stationed in Germany? Japan? Nothing ever gets finished quickly, most of the damn nation just wants everything now.

Too finish up my stress relief, there's an election going on here in Georgia. One of the candidates basically says his agenda is going to be to oppose Obama.

What, and keep everything fucking clogged? To promote needless bickering and waste time that could be spent improving life? I hope nobody's fucking stupid enough to vote for this asshat.

/end

I have nothing to say that is at all relevant.

You definitely have a point about people skimming those documents and trying to find every fault they can to exploit. I mean they are already doing it now, and it is only going to get worse.
