Misagi reminds me or Mr. Miyagi... jonnys dad

and on the whole inuit-eskimo debate; the guys with the twohundred words for snow call themselves inuit; but eskimo means raw-meat eater... so it is a valid word... and a really cool name.

I was reviewing my art thread, when I noticed that it was only 14 pages long. This confused me, as I could have sworn that yesterday, I was on page 15. Then I noticed that there were missing posts.
When I went to check his profile.... this happened.

That might actually be partly my fault. He did a little cry for attention after I called him out in Jereminion's thread. He felt ignored, I guess. I always thought he was kinda... He never seemed to know what's going on. His responses made very little sense. Ever. Which was entertaining. But... I'm a dick.

That's is odd but I think it would be better if we didn't dwell on it too much, I'm sure he had his reasons and I'd feel like a dick talking about someone in their absence.

I'm going to miss PFlea, as he was often the only person who made absolutely 0% sense and was utterly clueless. Despite this, he entertained us all and was as good an odd art forum reg as any of us could have asked for.
R.I.P, PrinceFlea. We're all gonna miss ya.

I was just about to say something about that. It's such a great movie.

Well Damn, Hulu has screwed up this time.
Turns out that they decided to launch there rebuild today. This, this I'm cool with, but when they rebuilt their video player, they screwed up and now there some serious playback issues.
For some reason, some times when coming out of a commercial, or having the video paused for a few minuets, the playback freezes and requires some a refresh to continue.
I find this a big annoyance, and have gotten fed up and quit out of two movies because of this.

I'm sure this is a simple programming error that will soon be fixed or they will put their old player back up until the problem is fixed. But since it some what media related, I wanted to talk about it with you guys. Do you guys think that something like this could do serious, perhaps even permanent, damage to Hulu's reputation, or do you think this will be another one chalked up the the failure of technology and forgotten?

on a second note which I found funny. Their are some Mac, Ipad and Iphone users complaining about they cannot use Hulu on some of there devices and computers do the lack of HTML5. But instead of complaining to the company who created those devices about lack of support of flash on there devices, they are complaining to Hulu about the lack of HTML5 support on Hulu.
^ that was just lols, but completely worth reading there complaints.

I've been looking at some of the awesomeness in the Art Portal, and upon seeing the shading employed in the works of people like Mindchamber and Shyfts it got me wondering. How do you guys do your shading? Do you use gradients or something? It has me absolutely baffled.

mostly photoshop or flash

Do you use gradients

no, gradients are only good in certain selections, dont stick a gradient over the whole thing, go look up some vector art and youll see what i mean, each piece of shading is one small selection with a gradient

or something? It has me absolutely baffled.

im sure mindchamber and most other people use opacity in photoshop for shading, it takes a while and a whole load of practice but youll get there eventually, tutorials always help with this kind of thing, but depends if you want realistic or cel shading

This is a good example of gradients done right, this artist uses flash and partly explains what they do with each of their characters. Such marvelous shading.
