Oh, so i guess that's it. It was SirCannabisClock. Thanks for rescouting me, Ashman! I'm relieved to find out that all the scores of my entries were retained, but now all the people I scouted were unscouted. Bleh, I might have to go rescout all of them.

Although I don't really drink much, but still.
You should practice your drunken fist techniques.
I now know the power I can weild with a pencil.
In a class, there are two girls who have clown-phobia. So, during one part of the class where I could sketch out something, I decided to unleash the ultimate weapon of the visual image upon them.
You know you're hot shit when you cause people to nearly jump out of their chairs by just making them look at something.
Because people who frighten others with their innate phobias are totally hot shit.
In case you haven't seen through the thick sarcasm in the last statement, no, I do not think I am hot shit for doing that.
I have nothing to say that is at all relevant.

There should be a lot of them. I've already sent scouts out to the people who I had previously scouted. These were DooDooMeat, MahjiX, Ratsinthewall, Dalenbourg, and De-Cider, and a couple others.
I think that this system is good, but if one person with some scouts get unscouted, that can cause a massive chain reaction that sends lots of people toppling down. It's a bit of a flaw in the system, isn't it?

true... but I was wanting to bust him for different reasons.
I just wanted the spammers out of the portal before they took advantage of it. Sircannabisclock and Flee were more or less bonuses...

"Your fault" indicates you did something wrong. You were just trying to keep the portal clear. It just sucks that a bunch of us got unscouted in the process. Not too difficult to rescout people.

I'm sure the mods who did the trimming did a lot of consideration of the pros and cons.
but yeah, I figured the good artist would get picked back up rather quickly.

Pros and cons? We just throw chicken nuggets at a piece of newsprint with scouted users names on it. If the grease splatter makes the name illegible then we prune. Pffft I bet you guys think that we actually give two shits about quality control.

If the nugget's aren't greasy enough, do you coat them in plum sauce first before you throw them?
Hey, does anyone know what the regulations are to be featured in the audio portal for best of the week? Like is it based on score alone, or do you have to have a minimum number of listens?
I dunno how many of you would know this, but if you do, that would be cool.
Also, I'm not trying to shamelessly plug this (or am I), but I would love it if all the art forum goers would leave a review on The Metaphoric Art Forum Story.
Click to listen.
: Also, don't worry if your name isn't mentioned, as it was written ages ago. Me and wivernryder are working on something "special" that will mention everyone, and I mean EVERYONE.

That was totally uncalled for! I will not review your narration of someone else`s story, set to someone else`s music.
basta

I'm just wondering, how many people in the forum have read the Watchmen.
Seeing the film does DEFINITELY not count. In fact if you saw the film you might have to read it again to repair the damage.
nobody goes there anymore. its too popular.

I'm surprised a famous animal Icon such as lassie from the fifties or 60s can have that much of a lasting impression.
I don't know when the manga was published, all I know is that I have come across something rather awesome....
I should read it o.0.....
Well with lassie having TV shows, books, movies, toys and more, I'm not that surprised of the lasting impression
Wiki in case any one is interested
Lassie: skateboard stunt and danger zone?..... this dog has lived a fuller like than one would expect o.0....

So, I noticed this isn't the first mention of The Watchmen comic you've made 'round these parts, you must be a fan.
I've read about half of the comic and now the compilation sits on my bookshelf gathering dust, the other half is on my to-do list along with quite a few other unfinished books, graphic novels and manga, there just aren't enough hours in the day anymore, nor enough gas in the tank at the end of the day...
I've not seen the movie.
This sig is 100% effective protection from all hexes, curses, evil spirits and bad karma. Guaranteed.
I saw the movie, and I didn't think it was that bad, Sure it wasn't as good as the comic book, but that always happens with a transition to film.
I'm actually trying to get a copy of the motion copy. 12 parts, 6 hours XD

I'm not surprised that such a thing exists as I am that it ended up on a major site like that. That would imply it has some kind of a fanbase. And that someone thought the idea of a Lassie manga was good enough for publication in the first place. I've not read it, but that a publisher even considered it is strange.
Cult hit with nostalgic older readers, perhaps?
Yeah, i'm a pretty big fan of Alan Moore in general. I've read the Watchmen, From Hell, Parts 1 & 2 of The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Another Suburban Romance.
My love affair with the Watchmen was late blooming.
Initially I saw the book in my local library and it had really interesting cover art so I was quite curious, I saw it was quite highly critiqued so I decided to check it out, completely unaware of it's cult status.
At the time I was also reading Transmetropolitan, and in a certain issue, I forget which one, there's a big reference to the Watchmen.
This made me sort of curious, so I googled it and was amazed at the amount of Watchmen appreciation clubs etc. I also noticed that there was a lecture coming up in a few weeks time a local venue, so I bought tickets for me and one of my "nerd" friends to go.
The lecture blew my mind. The amount of symbolism, references, and sheer genius that I was completely unaware of was just mind boggling. So I promptly re-read the book and fell in love. Since then i've read it another few times
I would highly recommend it to anyone

That's not really a bad thing, they cut out a lot of the interesting parts. They also completely fucked up the ending. The movie itself is alright and decent, but the last half hour of the movie is complete garbage.
