Indeed... It looks pretty cool, but it isn't exactly art. I have to agree with spaghetti in the sense it's just a bunch of filters.

I would say bring it, the thread did not specify "only digital", it just so happens that everyone has submitted something digital... lets see a painting to shake things up a bit.

As one "fellow" artist used to say, "Digital art is digital, real art is real."

Have to agree, most of this stuff looks like desktop backgrounds. Not trying to sound like an ass, but take a look at some examples of abstract art when you have some free time.

Abstract pieces can follow shapes and patterns.
"Abstract art uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which exists independently of visual references to the world." which basically means that it's subject doesn't have to represent real world experiences.
