website lagging

i need to know why my site is lagging because i am loosing visitors because it is taking ages for my site to load

one thing i know its not the php which is lagging and i'm sure its not the ads

what should i do

I just had the same problem with my site. Try clearing your cache and all that.

The people i am hosted with are doing some database maintenance, so it's probably that. But you're receiving FREE hosting which i'm not making ANY profit from, so stop whining and wait it out, if you can't "Afford to lose visitors" pay for hosting.

Doesn't even load for me so you must've changed something without realizing it.

There could be another reason, besides the host. Maybe your site has too many images, or the code is poorly written, and not optimized. Moving to a paid host would definitely boost your performance. Try to keep the mySQL scripts to a minimum, because they are very server-intensive.

Also what did the guy expect? First of all it's a free service, second of all it was out of the control of CS so what was he supposed to do?
