I wouldn't be surprised if the government was watching this "experiment" to try to answer that same question lol.

Personally I think that the scientology cult is a bunch of sweet hearts compared to that Westborogh Baptist church, that goes around protesting at the funerals of american soldiers.
Their actions are just wrong in so many ways, but they have their 'personal rights' as well, but I can't think of anybody more whacked then those folks.
I can't believe I just said something good about "Ron Hubbards Cult"

You do realize that Scientology sees hurting people, as in, physically, with their fists, as a valid mean of silencing enemies?
As much as I hate"Westborogh" Baptist church, I haven't heard of them trying to kill somebody yet.

Read a very terrifying story here
;
I'm not trying to sound big or tough , but bring it on. I'm not the least bit afraid of a group of whacked scientologists & from what I've seen of the poor underfed asses around Halifax, they better send a couple of them out here to threaten me.
Nova Scotia is very different from the large cities & towns you have in the states. People not only know each other , they know the different family members of extended family groups.
It is very clannish here where I live & people would not turn away from someone because of the kooks from scientology. They are considered a 'cult' here.
Family Looking out for each other no matter what is how its done around here.
I've worked with people from the U.S. , bigger Canadian cities Europe etc. & all of them realise that this place isn't at all like where they come from. We are the second smallest province in the country & are 55,284 sq. kilometers in area with around 935,000 people (This could be wrong the exodus of people to Alberta's Oil Patch the last couple years has been making it easy to find a job here)
Except for our city Halifax(the capital) & Sydney (on Cape Breton Island) this place is all small towns & villages.
Cults have a hard time moving into places like this.
I for one am perfectly fine with that.

I wouldn't be that worried about their physical retribution either. I'd be more worried about their lawyers. They'll sue your ass off for criticizing or making fun of them.

If Anonymous wins, then they'll have a huge power trip we'll never hear the end of, but we'll be rid of scientology.
But what happens if they lose?

I don't really think Anonymous is going to single handedly bring down Scientology, but this might very well set off a chain reaction of people starting to question the church. And once people start to learn more about the evil shit they've been up to, I doubt anyone's going to want to join them anymore.

I dunno, just find the phone number to the nearest Scientology center and start prank calling them, I guess.

You are an idiot.
It SHOULD read: Anonymous will destroy groups whom they deem unworthy.
The group they are destroying doesn't think that the group themselves are unworthy.

L O L , wow you don't get Canada at all do you.
You can't sue people here like you can in the states.
You can fuck up pretty bad & you are not up for a lawsuit. People get killed on job sites, people get injured etc. because of negligence on the part of others & it takes years to get to court, the amounts that you are able to sue for are very minimal here.
I have never heard of any multimillion dollar lawsuits up here, you can try ...the courts just throw it out or cut the award down to be about half what you owe your lawyer.
LMFAO ,one thing about Canada compared to the U.S. the courts are not a place to attempt to get rich. It aint going to happen. L O L.
Thanks for the laugh though , I'm sure you didn't realise that this countries legal system is completely different than it is in the U.S.
When people are injured the countries medical system kicks in & takes care of you, you can't sue to get that money, if any was awarded the goverment gets it.
BIg corperations & Goverment agencies regularly sue for big sums of money up here, but one person sueing another is often considered a frivilous waste of the courts time & that can get you fined & or jailed for wasteing their time.
So unless your a big Corperate company sueing about trade issues or enviormental issues your not going far with frivilous suits up here.
I seen a piece on the internet where they (the scientology nuts were ordered to pay 2 million in damages from their harrassment of a crown attorney, but that's fucking with the goverment & I don't remember where it went from there.

No offense is intended here Dude, but I think they should have their own T.V. show right before or after Jerry Springer would be great.
I believe that many ,many more people need to be informed just how F*&$ed up these people are.
Part of how they have been able to fool people for so long is their attention to secrecy, get their B.S. out in the open & expose them for the Quacks they obviously are.

No, I'm fully aware that Canada's legal systems doesn't suck giant cocks, unlike the US justice system. But they could still drag you to court, and I can't imagine that being much fun, even if they have no leg to stand on legally.

What's not so obvious however, is the way they treat their own.
Before this whole thing with Anonymous vs. Scientology started, I thought Scientology was just a big joke. A group of silly people who believed in space aliens and were a bit too full of themselves, but other than that, a harmless bunch. But now that I've researched them a bit further, I've found out that they're completely batshit insane! In case you missed it the first time around, here's The Un-Funny TRUTH about Scientology again.
These fuckers need to be exposed for what they really are.

the problem is that the only real case they have against scientology is from the reporter who was threatened and nearly killed, most of the other in that video were people who went off their medication or stopped psychiatric treatment, unless it can be proven they did so against their will theres not much that can be done.

If you want to be more informed, look up the current events regarding this on the SomethingAwful forums topic regarding this in the forum GBS.
This is not about free speech or religious persecution, this is about saving lives and stopping a dangerous criminal organization before it becomes too powerful to oppose.
